Alternatively, if he had treated it as a life-and-death battle and intended to take Du Youqian's life, he would never have let Du Youqian get so close. Or, when Du Youqian grabbed him from behind, if he had decisively used a mutually destructive technique, he wouldn't have lost so cleanly.
