While pursuing this line of research, Dan accidentally discovered one of the most dangerous techniques he had ever developed since arriving in this world.
This discovery was a method that reversed the operation of the fifth law itself . a method of restoration that allowed the other four physical laws to regain their original strict nature, restoring them to the state they possessed before the fifth law interfered with and distorted them.
It was an enormous and unexpected surprise, a discovery he had never been searching for and had instead stumbled upon while investigating the exact opposite direction.
Dan understood perfectly what this discovery meant from a theoretical perspective. If this method could be fully mastered, then it would theoretically allow him to return the entire world or any part of it he chose to its natural state governed solely by strict physical laws, just like the world he originally came from.
No chakra. No ninjutsu. No natural energy. None of the things that made this world unique would remain. Everything would return to simple, original rules without any additional complications introduced by the fifth law.
Naturally, he had absolutely no intention of doing such a thing. His entire power was built upon chakra, natural energy, and all the abilities derived from them. Stripping the world of those elements would also strip him and everyone around him of everything they had built. Therefore, he would never apply it on a global scale.
Furthermore, mastery of the fifth law itself was humanity's path toward evolution and survival within this universe, especially since they were threatened by the filthy extraterrestrial civilization of the Otsutsuki who sought to devour this planet. Depriving humanity of this capability would amount to genuine suicide.
However, the fact that he would never use this discovery on the world did not mean he intended to ignore it or leave it undeveloped. On the contrary, he refined it, organized it, and transformed it into a new technique he named the Purification Seal.
This new technique allowed its user to restore anything unnatural to a natural state, placing it once again under the authority of strict physical laws rather than the influence of the fifth law, regardless of its source, nature, or power.
To put it more clearly, anyone who mastered the Purification Seal would become the greatest enemy of nearly every powerful individual and force in this universe.
With a single calculated strike, they could theoretically strip others of their chakra, techniques, and supernatural abilities, reducing them to ordinary humans completely incapable of resisting. It was a weapon that nullified power rather than surpassing it, making it fundamentally different from any other combat technique regardless of its destructive capability.
Yet despite being incredibly powerful and effective, the technique was extraordinarily difficult to master in practice. It surpassed every other technique Dan had ever developed in complexity. Even among his family members, he believed that only three individuals possessed the potential to successfully master it: Nira, Sera, and Hoshi.
After presenting the idea to them, their reactions differed greatly, reflecting their personalities and combat philosophies.
Sera showed little interest. The technique's nature and philosophy simply did not align with her straightforward style based on wielding a greatsword and confronting opponents directly. Her approach relied on strength, speed, and physical mastery rather than manipulating or disabling the laws of reality in such a complex manner.
As for Hoshi, she was technically capable of learning it. She had previously succeeded in mastering the Fourth Vitality Seal of the brain with his assistance, giving her the intellectual foundation necessary to understand the complexities of the Purification Seal.
However, she declined as well not because she lacked the ability, but because the technique conflicted with the path she had built her life around. Her research centered entirely on the extraordinary and the unnatural. The Purification Seal existed to eliminate the extraordinary and restore normality. It directly contradicted everything Hoshi had devoted herself to.
Thus, only Nira remained.
Nira accepted without hesitation. In fact, she felt a deep conviction that this technique had been created specifically for her, as though it were the missing piece she had been searching for without realizing it.
Her cold and highly rational personality matched the nature of the technique perfectly. The Purification Seal required a deep and abstract understanding of physical laws and the relationships between them, a level of comprehension that left no room for emotion or impulse.
Therefore, Dan entrusted the technique to her and allowed her to train independently, first mastering it and then attempting to integrate it into the spear style she had developed through years of practice.
The fusion of a technique that nullified supernatural laws with a combat style centered around a precise and deadly spear would create something truly unique.
And Dan was certain of one thing.
If Nira succeeded in mastering this technique and continued growing stronger alongside it, she would become a terrifying existence beyond description.
Words themselves would fail to capture what she would become.
If she truly mastered it, she would become a weapon capable of ending the world in the most literal sense . a being possessing the power to bring civilization itself to an end should she ever choose to do so.
For that reason, Dan genuinely hoped she would succeed on this unique path. The result would make her the most powerful weapon the family possessed without question.
Although he had no intention of ever using such a weapon except in the most extreme circumstances . unless one day he concluded that this world itself deserved to come to an end for reasons only he considered necessary.
Of course, Dan himself could also use this technique. After all, he was its creator, and his ability to wield it would always remain superior.
