Chapter 213 - Chapter 213: Inhabitants of Distant Planets

As part of Dan's massive project to build a world for his family to train, explore, and adventure in, he made use of thousands of planets gathered from hundreds of star systems he had discovered while traveling through various regions of the galaxy.

Most of the planets he collected were barren rocky worlds without breathable atmospheres, enormous gas giants, or frozen planets covered in thick layers of eternal ice. None of them possessed any significant forms of life, aside from a few microscopic organisms struggling to survive beneath their frozen surfaces.

However, that did not mean he had failed to discover planets that truly supported advanced life during his journeys through space. Among the thousands of worlds he had surveyed, he found two particularly remarkable planets inhabited by intelligent life.

The first possessed gravity roughly eight times stronger than that of his current world. It teemed with diverse ecosystems, countless land animals, and vast oceans, while its overall size was approximately twice that of his own planet.

His survey revealed the existence of two intelligent species living upon it. They inhabited completely separate continents, making it obvious that neither species had ever encountered or even discovered the existence of the other. Furthermore, their levels of civilization differed considerably.

The first species resembled giant lizards whose overall body structure was strangely similar to a human hand. Their movement resembled crawling far more than ordinary walking. They lived in tunnel-like dwellings carved beneath the earth, maintaining a relatively primitive lifestyle centered around concealment and natural protection rather than constructing buildings above ground. Their societies consisted of simple tribal communities, placing them at a developmental stage comparable to humanity before the rise of cities and organized nations.

The second intelligent race on the planet consisted of short beings standing no taller than about one meter, with gray skin, four thick legs supporting a relatively compact torso, and two arms ending in hands that possessed eight fingers each. This anatomy granted them extraordinary dexterity when handling tools and working with delicate materials.

Based on his careful analysis, Dan believed that this particular physical structure especially the large number of fingers was the primary reason this race had advanced much further than the first in terms of civilization. Their bodies naturally favored tool use, craftsmanship, and the development of primitive industries. At present, they had reached a technological level comparable to humanity's Bronze Age, producing simple metal tools while already understanding the basic principles of smelting and metalworking.

Moreover, because of the planet's immense gravity, these gray beings possessed thick, stocky physiques well adapted to living under such constant weight. Their powerful muscles and reinforced skeletal structures enabled them to endure the planet's harsh gravitational pull. Unlike the subterranean tribes, they lived in organized stone settlements, indicating a significantly more advanced level of social organization.

As for the planet's natural energy, it was relatively ordinary or rather, nowhere near as abundant as that found on the Ninja World.

Floating through space high above the planet while observing its scattered civilizations, Dan quietly murmured to himself,

"I'll find an opportunity to study them more thoroughly in the future."

With a simple gesture of his hand, while hovering above one of the underground villages inhabited by the hand-lizard race, a fine crack appeared in space itself. It rapidly expanded until it completely surrounded the entire village from every direction. Panicked screams erupted from the villagers as they sensed something utterly incomprehensible happening around them. Their cries lasted only a few seconds before the entire settlement vanished from the planet's surface, transported wholesale into the new inner world he was constructing.

However, he did not immediately release these beings after relocating them. Instead, he kept them temporarily sealed in a suspended state until the new section of his inner world could fully adapt to their arrival. This adaptation included their native microorganisms and naturally occurring viruses, ensuring that they would eventually be able to live safely within their new environment without suffering devastating diseases caused by the sudden collision of two completely different biological ecosystems. To further prevent environmental shock, Dan also transferred portions of the planet's own soil and atmosphere along with the village.

He then traveled to the other continent, home of the gray race, and repeated the process by relocating an entire city-state. Once again, a crack formed in space, enveloping the city before it disappeared completely, reappearing within its designated region inside the inner world. As before, he carefully transported part of its original environment along with it to avoid any unforeseen biological consequences.

After taking one final thoughtful glance at the planet from which he had collected two entirely different intelligent civilizations, Dan disappeared and headed toward the second living planet he had discovered during his explorations.

Unlike the first, this world possessed no intelligent inhabitants. Instead, it was home to an immense diversity of wild animals of every imaginable size and species.

Even though it lacked intelligent life, its extraordinary biodiversity would still become a valuable addition to the ecosystem of his inner world, even if it could never equal the significance of the hand-lizard race and the gray dwarves.
