The method of training within the Tower was fundamentally different from what the external Kings had grown accustomed to on the Outer Continent and from the path they had followed to attain the rank of King.
For the external Kings who had earned the right to enter the Tower after proving their sovereignty, the journey always began from the first floor without exception. The moment they crossed the boundary separating the Outer Continent from the Tower, they were completely stripped of all their power. The strength they had accumulated over thousands of years vanished, and their bodies returned to the level of ordinary humans. The only thing they retained was their lifespan, allowing them to undertake the incredibly long journey that awaited them inside the Tower.
This was entirely intentional on Dan's part when he designed the Tower's laws. No matter how great the power someone had built on the Outer Continent, it carried with it countless accumulated habits, thought patterns, and methods. Some of them were correct, while others concealed flaws that had never been exposed because the challenges of the continent had never forced them into the open. Rebuilding from nothing in a completely different environment forced every individual to place the very foundation of their path under the scrutiny of a new trial.
For that reason, everyone who entered the Tower had to begin training from the fundamentals once again. They had to rebuild their physical strength from the ground up and redevelop their chakra control starting from its earliest stages. Although this process appeared to be a regression, it was, in truth, reconstruction upon a far deeper and sturdier foundation. They returned to the basics while carrying the complete experience of their previous journey, making the rebuilding process both faster and more profound.
Throughout the first one hundred and fifty floors of the Tower, advancement was measured by reaching a required level of physical strength and chakra control. Once a climber proved that they had attained the standard demanded by their current floor, the path to the next one would open. The required level increased steadily from one floor to the next until, upon reaching the one hundred and fiftieth floor, the climber possessed overwhelming physical power and exceptionally refined chakra control that far surpassed what they had once achieved.
The primary reason for this system was that the moment any being attained the rank of King, they received an enormous quantity of natural energy. Such an immense amount of energy was impossible to digest through ordinary methods. Rebuilding one's entire foundation inside the Tower served another crucial purpose: throughout the process of retraining and reconstructing that foundation, the natural energy was gradually absorbed and assimilated, resulting in tremendous growth by the end of the process.
Naturally, this would require thousands of years of uninterrupted training across constantly changing environments that forced climbers to adapt and evolve without cease. Such an immense span of time refined not only the body and chakra but also tempered the will itself.
Since every floor of the Tower was a world unto itself, climbers would never remain in the same environment throughout their ascent of the first one hundred and fifty floors. Every new floor introduced an entirely different world with its own nature, creatures, conditions, and challenges. They would encounter diverse civilizations, each possessing its own understanding of the world and its own way of living, while facing environments that ranged from relatively peaceful to openly hostile. This endless diversity across one hundred and fifty floors cultivated an extraordinary ability to adapt to the unknown.
The final one hundred floors of the Tower, however, served an entirely different purpose. Once a climber had reconstructed their foundation and attained overwhelming strength and precise control, those final floors existed to refine the unique path over which they had already proven absolute sovereignty. It was a stage dedicated to deeper specialization and evolution toward an even higher level. The ultimate objective of these one hundred floors was to reach the summit of the Tower and successfully conquer it.
Even though the path forward was clearly defined, Dan understood realistically that it would be an extraordinarily difficult journey. Even within his own family, he expected that his children and descendants would require thousands of years to accomplish such a feat.
As for the native inhabitants of the Inner World, the challenge was practically impossible. First, they would have to attain the rank of King, and only then could they even begin the monumental task of conquering the entire Tower. The distance separating them from that achievement was so vast that it seemed unattainable for almost all of them.
Nevertheless, Dan never completely dismissed the possibility. History, in every world he knew, had consistently proven that what appeared impossible to the overwhelming majority would inevitably be achieved by an exceptional individual whose existence defied conventional logic. Sooner or later, he believed, a truly extraordinary genius would emerge within this world and accomplish that feat, even if it required millions of years. The Inner World itself had been designed with laws that made the birth of such a genius an ever-present possibility.
