As for the second race, it was extremely dangerous, even more dangerous than the race developed by Fenrik, because in truth, it could not even be considered a race in the traditional sense of the word. It was not a group of beings that reproduced, evolved, and formed a society.
Rather, it was something far more primitive and far deadlier, and it could be described more accurately as a biological weapon of mass extinction, an entity designed to devour all forms of life and transform them into a single biomass, without discrimination, without mercy, and without any purpose other than growth and consumption, as if it were an insatiable hunger that fed on everything alive, turning entire worlds into barren wastelands devoid of any life.
The way Dan obtained this terrifying entity was by pure chance, and it had not been part of any previous plan. Instead, it was a side effect of events that had occurred within the Mother Witch's laboratories.
After Sera had eliminated her hated nemesis in their final battle, and the Mother Witch had been reduced to dust, nothing of her remained in the world except the remnants of her laboratories, which were filled with spells, experiments, and secret projects. In one of these laboratories, Dan noticed something strange.
A sealing spell that had been imprisoning a fragment of the Mother Witch's consciousness had interacted with her remaining power, as if that fragment were desperately trying to survive and cling to existence by any means possible.
However, because the Origin had died completely and absolutely and had been erased from existence entirely, that separated fragment had fallen into a state of madness and instability.
When this distorted fragment possessed the corpse that had already been prepared inside the laboratory as part of the Mother Witch's plan to return in the event of her death, the corpse began to undergo horrifying mutations and could no longer maintain its human form.
It began transforming into something else that could not be properly described, something that writhed, pulsed, and constantly changed, as if it were desperately trying to find a suitable form, but every form failed, and every attempt only ended in even greater distortion.
This scene, which appeared extremely interesting to Dan, seemed like an opportunity, so he decided to test this strange entity and see what it could do if it were released into a suitable environment.
He took this distorted creature, which resembled a massive, writhing, pulsating worm, and released it into one of the forests rich with life in a remote region of the Inner World, wanting to see how this strange creature would interact with the environment and what results would emerge from it.
The results he obtained afterward surprised even him, despite having witnessed countless wonders and strange phenomena. What happened exceeded all his expectations, and it contained terrifying potential that he had never imagined.
The distorted creature, which resembled a massive worm, began devouring living organisms in their entirety, not only animals but also trees and everything alive that stood in its path.
It consumed them without discrimination, as if it were draining the life from everything it touched and turning it into a part of itself. The more it devoured, the larger and stronger it became, and the more savage it grew.
At the same time, something extremely interesting occurred. The creature began producing something that resembled eggs, which were actually enormous balls of pulsating flesh that writhed and moved.
After a short period of time, monsters resembling dogs emerged from these fleshy spheres. They looked like horrifying abominations made of flesh and blood, with sharp fangs and glowing red eyes. They moved at incredible speed, hunted every living thing in their surroundings, gathered it, and returned with it to their mother.
The most terrifying aspect of this new race was that they all shared the same consciousness. They were not separate beings, but extensions of their mother and parts of her, as if they were a single cell within one body.
There was no conflict between them, no competition, and no individuality, only one single objective: to devour everything alive and gather it into one mass. This shared consciousness made them more efficient, more dangerous, and far more difficult to stop.
After Dan understood the nature of this dangerous new race and its enormous potential as a biological weapon of mass extinction, he decided that he could not allow it to spread throughout the Inner World, because it could completely destroy it and transform it into a single mass of biomass.
Therefore, he took the creature and all of its offspring and sealed them away, waiting for the right moment when he would decide how to use this terrifying weapon, which could become either salvation or destruction depending on how it was deployed.
