Claudia POV
The detective brought me to the emergency room for treatment, because the gashing wound on my shoulder needed to be disinfected and wrapped in a bandage.
The nurse helped to take my shirt off and gasped after seeing the gory scar on my arm and under my chest.
She was shocked, but it only took her a while before she resumed her professionalism and began cleaning up the wound and wrapping a bandage around my shoulder and arm.
I said nothing the whole time, because my mind was filled with the horrible images of Aurora dying while I was incarcerated. She was the only reason why I continued living, so if Aurora died in Clarissa's hands later on, then… I'd avenge her before killing myself.
That was the only way for me to escape this torment.
I was given a hospital gown to replace my bloodied shirt and cardigan, then laid on the bed, staring at the ward ceiling for a while until the detective returned to me.
