"How dare you?" she said with gritted teeth, but then I just shrugged.

I let a fireball do the talking; if she doesn't give in then she would just have to watch the trinket get destroyed… wait, can it even get destroyed in the first place…

"WAIT! STOP!" I heard her scream. I knew she couldn't do anything to me; if she tried to direct her attention on me then she wouldn't be able to keep protecting the tree, so it's either me or it.
"Are you ready to give it to me?" I asked flatly.
"I.. I don't know what you want.. I don't know any trinket of destiny… Please… Um… How do you even know a Fairy was here? No… How do you even know about the Trin—" She began blabbing, but looking at my watch and realizing it was about forty more minutes before I had to leave, I just decided to burn the whole thing.
