Jane POV:
We reached Eman's Restaurant and immediately got welcomed by a busy restaurant. We saw way to many guests, but only 1 Waiter. That waiter looked stress. Kiefer stepped forward and asked
Kiefer: Can you tell Eman to come out? We are his friends
The waiter looked so busy, he couldn't even speak, he just nodded. After a few minutes Eman came out; he looked stressed and a bit frustrated
Eman: What are you doing here?
Edrix: You weren't at the competition, so we wanted to meet you.
Eman: I will be dropping out of school
Jay: Why?
Oh no. I knew that tone. That is the "meddler tone".
Eman: We are understaffed. There are so many guests and only 1 waiter and 2 chefs.
Jay immediately said: I will help
Jane: Jay! We have to survive ourselves, what about our job?
Jay: But that doesn't mean we will let him drop out of school. We can't just let him struggle! We are his friends; we are supposed to help him. We also needed help building our company. Remember how much we struggled? We didn't have friends, who could take care of us! We barely survived!!
I hated that she had a point.
Jane: Fine, I will help too! But only a few hours
Section E: We'll help too
Eman: Thanks, guys! But I don't want to be a burden! And Jane is right, you all have other things to concentrate on
Jay: We can take shifts! I work at night anyway, so I can take the afternoon shift.
Eman: Are you sure?
Section E: YES!!!!!
Eman: Thank you! Now let's get to business. Who can cook?
Jay: JANE!!!
Jane: I am not that good at cooking, you are better at it!
Jay: But I have people skills! You are too introverted to talk to strangers!
She had a point.
Jane: Fine, I'll cook
Eman: Perfect, don't worry I will teach you. And Yuri you are coming too. As if I wouldn't take the second best in cooking with me!! I need… DAVID! David is also good! The rest of you can take the orders and serve them!
Ci-n: AYE AYE CAPATAIN!
Yuri just chuckled and came with us to the kitchen.
Jane: What is on your menu?
Eman: Mostly fried food
Jane: Ok, my specialty! What should I make?
Eman: You can make order 40;60;45 for now, can you do that?
Jane: Easy!
Yuri POV:
Jane can cook? She looks so focused right now while cooking, but also relaxed. I was already done with my orders; they were easy and quick to make. She looks so peaceful, while cooking. I love it, I love her!
Jay POV:
I was taking orders and I think I was pretty good at it. The customers seem to like me. Kiefer didn't really seem to make a great impression. I took him aside and said
Jay: You are scaring the customers. You need to smile more
Kiefer: But I only smile around people I love
Jay: At this rate they will be leaving the restaurant! You look scary. You need to smile more.
Then an idea popped into my head.
Jay: If you smile and successfully place orders, I will give you kisses, deal?
Kiefer's face lit up. I knew it! He is greedy, when it comes to my kisses! I kind of liked that though, but don't tell him that
Kiefer: How many?
Jay: 3
Kiefer: No, you will give 5
Jay: 4
Kiefer: No! More!
Jay: 4 is my last offer, either take it or leave it!
Kiefer: Fine! Deal!
We went back to work and when I glanced at him, he actually smiled. It wasn't real, but it didn't look that forced. That is a start! The customers didn't seem scared anymore! After a few hours, the restaurant closed and Eman gathered us for a "meeting".
Eman: I just wanted to say thank you!! That you helped me; I appreciate it a lot, that is why I will be going to school and will be making food for you, since we are not allowed to eat in the cafeteria.
Section E cheered and were celebrating.
Eman: Your first day was a success and there are many good ratings, so for today you all can go home! You look like exhausted monkeys!
Section E: HEY!!!
Jay: IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE SNAKES NOT MONKEYS!
Eman chuckled: All right correction! You all look like exhausted Snakes!
Josh: That's even worse
Jane: Did Josh, just talk?
Rory: Yes?
Jane: I thought he was mute, he never talked!!
Section E burst out laughing
Josh: I can talk! I just don't like talking! I am going mute now! Peace out!
We all laughed then we all left even Josh smiled a small smile and went home. I was driving Jane and I home, when Thyme called
Jay: Yes?
Thyme: Kaizer is in the city! What should we do?
My jaw tightened.
Jay: Secure the perimeter of their homes!! Double the Security at Kiefer's home. He is most probably trying to kidnap Kieren again.
Thyme: Ok
Jay: Keep me updated, bye
Thyme: Ok, bye
I hung up the call and we reached home. I went to my room and did a bit of work and then fell asleep.
Jane POV:
Kaizer is in the city. We have to be careful and aware. He is unpredictable, which makes this dangerous, but Jay and I know him well enough to predict his steps. We reached home and Jay immediately went to work. I did that too. And then I fell asleep.
