The Hero walks across a ruined land and he comes to stand before The Demon king. He is resplendent in his red gold armor with a sword in each arm and a great sheild floating about him. The world trembles about him in a clash of magical and demonic aura in anticipation of the battle to come. This place, this day, this moment, everything he has faced has led him here.
But he is does not walk alone. Six figures come to stand with him. To fight alongside him. The companions! Chosen by his will to ride the winds of Fate with him. Yet they are not alone.
Across the world the armies of men stand strong against the Demon legions and the surviving demon lords. Their numbers dwindle but the light within their souls shines brightest. For they are not alone.
Thousands of surviving men and women lacking the power to join in the war gather in the church sanctuaries and they offer prayers and song to the hero and the armies of men where many of their loved ones are among the numbers. For what can ordinary men do against the end of the world but pray.
Yet they are not alone. For Gaea is with them. The great mother herself. The source of life and magic and the conscious will that holds the world together. Her power flows through the hero and his companions. Truly the Hero doesn't walk alone.
And there is one more who stands besides the Hero. unknown to the entire world. unknown to the Hero himself. A ghost by the hero's side, unable to touch this world. one who has intimately watched over the hero offering nothing more than his silent support.
Perhaps the hero's biggest fan. Like a shadow he has watched the hero's journey for 10 years of his life. And today he stands to watch The Final battle as he roots with all his being for the Hero's victory.
