Afterward, we continued chatting, and for a while, I managed to forget all my worries.
Since all three of us had work the next day, we didn't stay out too late.
After finishing the meal, Aiden paid the bill and we headed to the garage.
Sandra waved as she walked toward her car.
"My car's over there. I'm heading out."
"Alright," I nodded politely before turning to Aiden. "I'm leaving too."
Aiden reminded me,
"Don't forget to come over to my place for dinner in a couple of days."
"I won't."
Aiden's parents were very kind people, and we always got along well. We hadn't seen each other in quite a while.
Silently, I promised myself that I would visit them when I had the time.
The next day, I woke up to an empty bed. Alexander hadn't returned home the previous night, and so was the next night.i woke up on Monday morning but didn't feel as disappointed as I should have seeing the bed empty.
