After returning from the party Blaze explained to Koneko the circumstances behind Kuroka's actions, Koneko's tears not stopping for hours after hearing about how her sister was actually protecting her all those years ago, but she left out the fact that her hairclip contained important infomation due to the fact that she knew that she wasn't strong enough to be able to deal with what would come with it, also it seemed like a pain in the ass so she planned to put it off until the point it actually happened in the normal story
"I never knew that there was a story like that behind Kuroka" Rias noted as she gently stroked Koneko's hair, the young girl sleeping on her lap after crying herself to sleep
"It might be a bit ironic me being the one to say this, but alot of things have 2 sides to them, the one that they show to people and the one that they actually are" Blaze shrugged
"I suppose they do, and Kuroka is a villian on the outside, but a caring sister on the inside" Rias smiled, Koneko stirring slightly on her lap
"And both of you are kind girls on the outside but perverts on the inside once you get in bed together" Herm joked
"Haaaaa, don't ruin this happy moment" Blaze sighed as she and Rias looked after Koneko
The next day was the day of the rating game between Rias's peerage and Sona's peerage, the stands being full of spectators
"Welcome ladies, gentlmen and everyone else who lives in the underworld" the announcer declared "today with have quite the rating game for you, we have the future heads of the Gremory and Sitri families, the intelligent Sona Sitri and the beautiful Rias Gremory"
"Woah" "Yeah" "I've been looking forward to this" different cries roared out
"Now then, I'm sure everyone is wondering what kind of rules that our 2 teams will be competing with" continued the announcer "well wait no longer, for the game that these two peerages will be using to battle will be..... THIS" he cried out
LAZER TAG, appeared on the large screen behind him
"Lazer tag?" Blaze thought, knowing this was completely different from what happened originally
"That's right, this time the competition will be lazer tag, a game in the human world that friends play with each other that has been adapted for rating games, it requires a strong physical body and lots of stamina to play, but also a calculating mind to get the upper hand, in other words, it's perfect for these childhood friends who have both strong teams and sharp minds to be competing with"
"This actually sounds like it's going to be quite fun" Blaze mumbled
"The rules are as follows" added the commentator "each piece has a different amount of hit points they can take, and if you get hit that many times you are out of the game for half an hour, pawns have 2, bishops and knights have 3, rooks have 5, queens have 9 and kings have a whoping 25 points, however these points are based on how many pieces a person used, as such with both teams having pawns who have used multiple pieces they will have much higher hit points, with contestant Saji Genshiro having 8 points due to using 4 pawns and Blaze Aurum having a huge 16 points due to using all 8 pawns"
"Seems like you'll be our main attacker" noted Xenovia
"But wait, some of you might be wondering, what happens if they promote then, will Ms Aurum become a unstoppable juggernaught if she becomes a queen with a huge 72 hit points, the answer to that is no, the hit points can only go as high as the number of pieces thaqt are possible, as such if Ms Aurum decides to promote, she will actually lose hit points in most cases, making it a big descision to make on whether she wants more hit points or whether she wants a power boost by sacrificing some"
"Wow, this is getting alot more complicated than normal lazer tag" Blaze commented
"And there's more" hyping up the crowd even more the commentator didn't stop "each of the different pieces also has a special ability, for the knights they have the ability to pick up a second lazer gun that has been hidden on the map, bishops have a healing ability to be able to restore a lost hit point if they stay in contact with an ally for 1 minute with neither person moving for the duration of the time, rooks can find body armor that doubles their hit points and queens can pick up a more powerful pistol that has a faster fire rate, a longer range and can deal 2 hit points in a single shot, only 2 of these pistols are hidden on the map and finding one or both could turn the tides for either side"
"This is starting to sound like quite a bit of fun" Akeno smiled with her hand on the side of her face
"And finally, if any person loses all of their hit points they must return back to their base, once there they have to wait 5 minutes for each hit point to come back, meaning that more hit points isn't always a good thing as if a queen is taken out even once they will be out of comission for 45 minutes and if Ms Aurum ever loses all of hers she would have to wait an entire hour and 20 minutes, which could end up being more than enough time for the rest of her team to be taken out" declared the commentator "and finally as we all know, the same rule applies that if the king ever gets taken out even a single time, their team will lose and if the entire team except for the king is taken out it will also count as a loss, now then with all that being said, both teams will be teleported to the field"
With that being the cue both teams were teleported to their bases, a large field with various different cover points consisting of walls, ditches and trees scattered all over the play area, the base having a bunker like design
"The teams will be given 1 hour of preperation time before the game formally begins, in the meantime allow me to introduce everyone to the arbiter for todays game, today it will be a special one, taking the role for the first time ever to promote the peace between the factions, the fallen angel govener Azazel" shouted the commentator
"Nice to be here" Azazel smiled
"Azazel is going to be the arbiter" Rias blurted out in shock
"I have heard that you are now working at the academy that both of these young women go to?" questioned the commentator
"That's correct" answered Azazel "as such I knw their strengths and weaknesses and know their limits, and I look forward to seeing if they can break them" he said with a cocky grin
"Well then without further ado, let the match BEGIN" shouted the commentator, a clock with a 1 hour countdown appearing in the center of the field, signalling to everyone that the game had begun.
