I feigned ignorance and tilted my head to the side. "What do you mean?"
Lucy scoffed. "You must have been working with him for some time. That's why you didn't tell Jason and Vanessa about NightSky, right?"
I kept my face blank.
NightSky started as a project in school, a beauty product only, and Kyle had taken an interest in it. He decided to handle everything, while I just gave him the recipe.
For three years, I didn't even know anything about the brand. Kyle didn't try to market it to the masses. He went straight for the human and shifter elites. After building a reputation for the results of his beauty products, he began increasing production.
As for the medicines, we only started to add those two years later.
I didn't tell Vanessa because I knew she would want the recipe, and I couldn't give her because I had a contract with Kyle already.
In fact, I didn't expect it to be this respected and in demand.
I hadn't been paying attention.
