Ren slept terribly.
Not because of nightmares.
Not because of villains.
But because every time he rolled over in bed…

The air tore open.
And he teleported.
Again.
And again.
And again.
At exactly 3:12 AM, Ren disappeared from his bed.
Location #1 – Random Hallway
POP.
Ren fell onto the floor.
"…Ow."
He slowly lifted his head.
"…This is not the medical room."
Long hallway.
Lockers.
UA posters.
He groaned.
"…Why is my life like this?"
Location #2 – Girls' Dorm Hallway
FWOOOSH.
The air twisted again.
Ren vanished.
And reappeared a second later.
Right outside a dorm room.
The door suddenly opened.
Standing there was Mina Ashido in pajamas holding a toothbrush.
She froze.
Ren froze.
They stared at each other.
Mina blinked.
"…Ren."
"…Yeah?"
"…Why are you in the girls' dorm hallway at three in the morning?"
Ren raised his hands.
"I CAN EXPLAIN."
FWIP.
He vanished again.
Mina stared at the empty hallway.
"…Okay that's new."
Location #3 – Training Field
Ren reappeared face-first in grass.
"…Ow again."
He sat up slowly.
"…Where am I now?"
Floodlights.
Training buildings.
Fake city structures.
Ren groaned.
"…Great."
He stood up.
"I need to find Aiz—"
FWOOOSH.
Location #4 – Cafeteria Kitchen
Ren crashed into a stack of trays.
CLANG CLANG CLANG
"…Ow again again."
He blinked.
Huge kitchen.
Cooking equipment.
Shelves.
Ren looked around.
"…Well at least this place has food."
He grabbed a leftover bread roll.
Took a bite.
"Teleportation is stressful."
Location #5 – Teachers' Lounge
POP.
Ren appeared on a couch.
Mid-bite.
Across the room, Shota Aizawa slowly looked up from a cup of coffee.
They stared at each other.
Ren still had bread in his mouth.
"…Hi."
Aizawa sighed.
"…Of course."
Ren swallowed.
"I teleported again."
Aizawa looked completely unsurprised.
"…I assumed."
Ren scratched his head.
"I might have teleported like… five times."
Aizawa stood up.
"…Six."
Ren blinked.
"What?"
Aizawa pointed behind him.
Ren turned.
The air opened again.
FWOOOSH.
Ren vanished.
Aizawa watched the empty space for a moment.
Then took another sip of coffee.
"…I'm going back to bed."
Location #6 – Outside UA
Ren appeared sitting on the front steps.
"…I hate everything."
He lay back dramatically.
The sky was starting to turn orange with sunrise.
Birds chirped.
Ren sighed.
"…Okay."
He sat up.
"I just need to control it."
He focused.
Tried to imagine the medical room.
His bed.
His pillow.
His blanket.
The air shimmered.
Ren smiled.
"Oh I think it's working—"
FWOOOSH.
Location #7 – Dorm Common Room
Ren fell out of the air onto the couch.
THUD
Several students screamed.
"WHAT THE—"
Denki Kaminari dropped his cereal.
Eijiro Kirishima jumped off the couch.
And Katsuki Bakugo immediately exploded a small blast in shock.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!"
Ren slowly lifted his head from the couch cushion.
"…Teleportation practice?"
Denki pointed at him.
"YOU JUST FELL OUT OF THE AIR!"
Ren raised a finger.
"…Correct."
Kirishima's eyes sparkled.
"THAT WAS MANLY!"
Bakugo growled.
"WHY DO YOU HAVE ANOTHER QUIRK?!"
Ren shrugged.
"I don't know!"
The air behind him shimmered again.
Everyone froze.
Ren slowly looked back.
"…Oh no."
The portal opened.
And Ren vanished again.
Denki stared at the empty room.
"…Guys."
Kirishima nodded slowly.
"…Ren's powers are getting scary."
Bakugo cracked his knuckles.
"…Or interesting."
Somewhere Outside UA…
On a nearby rooftop…
A girl with messy blonde hair watched everything through binoculars.
Himiko Toga giggled.
"Teleporting now too?"
She kicked her feet happily.
"Ren is getting soooo cool."
She pressed her face into her hands.
"I love him."
