Everyone was getting ready to fight.
On one side of the training field stood the students of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Yuji Itadori cracked his knuckles, looking excited.
Megumi Fushiguro had already summoned shadows around his feet.
Nobara Kugisaki casually spun a hammer in her hand.
And standing behind them, smiling like this was all extremely amusing, was Satoru Gojo.
Across the field…
My group looked like complete chaos.
Students from U.A. High School.
Villains from the League.
And me.
Katsuki Bakugo was already warming up explosions.
Eijiro Kirishima hardened his arms.
Denki Kaminari whispered nervously:
"…We're fighting sorcerers."
Izuku Midoriya had three pages of notes already.
Behind them, Tomura Shigaraki flexed his fingers.
"Let's see how this world breaks."
Leaning beside him, Dabi looked amused.
"Cross-universe fight club."
Nearby, Kurogiri calmly adjusted his gloves.
"Quite the unusual gathering."
At the edge of the field, Shota Aizawa stood watching like a tired referee.
Gojo raised his hand dramatically.
"Alright!"
"Let's begin—"
"WAIT!"
Everyone turned.
I had raised my hand.
Gojo tilted his head.
"…Yes?"
I scratched the back of my head.
"Uh…"
"Don't you guys need to fight the students from Kyoto Jujutsu High?"
Silence.
Yuji blinked.
"…Oh."
Nobara froze.
"…Wait."
Megumi slowly looked toward Gojo.
"…He's right."
Gojo stood completely still.
Then suddenly snapped his fingers.
"Oh!"
He laughed.
"That's today, isn't it?"
Everyone stared.
Bakugo shouted from behind me:
"YOU FORGOT YOUR OWN EVENT?!"
Gojo shrugged.
"Oops."
Yuji rubbed his head.
"Yeah we were supposed to fight the Kyoto students today…"
Nobara sighed.
"…We literally came here to prepare for that."
Megumi looked at me.
"…How do you know about it?"
I grinned.
"Anime knowledge."
Denki whispered loudly behind me:
"REN KNOWS THE PLOT."
Gojo crossed his arms thoughtfully.
"Well that's actually perfect."
He looked between both groups.
Then his smile grew wider.
"More fighters."
Yuji looked excited again.
"Wait—really?"
Nobara smirked.
"Oh that's going to mess with Kyoto."
Megumi sighed.
"…This is going to be chaos."
I raised my hand again dramatically.
"Also."
Gojo looked at me.
"Yes?"
I pointed behind me at the massive group of heroes and villains.
"We are joining your team."
Silence.
Then Yuji pumped his fist.
"YES!"
Nobara laughed.
"Oh the Kyoto kids are going to be so mad."
Megumi looked slightly concerned.
"…This is extremely unfair."
Behind me…
Bakugo grinned.
"Finally."
Kirishima yelled:
"LET'S GO!"
Denki panicked.
"WAIT WE'RE ACTUALLY DOING THIS?!"
Midoriya whispered excitedly:
"Cross-universe teamwork…"
Shigaraki smirked.
"…This could be fun."
Dabi shrugged.
"I'm in."
Kurogiri nodded politely.
"I will assist."
At the edge of the field, Aizawa muttered:
"…I'm supervising a war between anime universes."
Gojo clapped his hands happily.
"Perfect!"
He pointed toward the forest path.
"Alright everyone!"
"Let's go greet Kyoto Jujutsu High."
Yuji grinned.
"They won't see this coming."
Nobara twirled her hammer.
"This is gonna be hilarious."
Megumi sighed again.
"…We're going to break the event."
I looked back at the portal to our world.
Then forward toward the forest battlefield.
And grinned.
Because the Goodwill Event was about to become the most unfair fight in anime history.
