The arena was quiet… for about three seconds.
Before anyone could blink, a portal opened beneath me—and suddenly, I was flying across the sky over Jujutsu High.
"Whoa—wait, what?!" I yelled, arms flailing.
Yuji's voice echoed from another portal a few feet away. "Ren?! Where are you sending us this time?!"
I landed hard on a hill overlooking the campus, Kaito and Mina tumbling behind me. Toga was nearby, staring wide-eyed, a little confused. I looked around, grinning. Perfect. Nobody hurt… yet.
"…Okay, I think I can control this better," I muttered, brushing dirt off my hands. My deck of cards tingled—my teleportation was evolving. I realized I could now link portals, not just jump randomly, but move between multiple points at will. I could carry people, objects, even redirect attacks across distances with precision.
Toga giggled behind me, "Heehee… are we playing again?"
I groaned. "…No, not now."
I tested my new ability, opening a portal to the front courtyard of U.A. High. Toga vanished instantly through it, appearing right where the villains were casually watching.
"Uh… wanna play garbage?" I called out, smirking.
Toga's scream of delight echoed across the grounds. She started running through obstacles we'd set up earlier, dodging harmless traps while I teleported her from one point to another, making it look like she was literally bouncing across the campus.
Meanwhile, I noticed the villains observing carefully. Shigaraki, Dabi, and Kurogiri's eyes followed every shift I made. I could feel their curiosity—and caution.
I took a deep breath. "Okay, let's see what happens if I push it even further."
I linked three portals: one to the gym, one to the rooftop, and one to a classroom window. Objects flew through seamlessly: a stack of textbooks, a few pillows, even Kaito, who had been panicking about the sudden flying items.
Yuji shouted from one of the portals, "…Okay, now this is ridiculous!"
I laughed. "Exactly! Welcome to the next level of chaos!"
At one point, I accidentally teleported both Toga and Kurogiri into the cafeteria. They froze for a moment, looking around at the random students screaming in confusion, then Kurogiri simply floated down onto a table, sipping calmly from a cup of coffee. Toga, of course, squealed and started darting after imaginary targets.
I blinked. "…Yep. That's about right."
But the real revelation came when I tried something wild: teleporting multiple points simultaneously while shifting my own position mid-air. I felt a tingling sensation in my chest—like the space around me was bending. I realized…
I could distort the battlefield itself. Not just move through portals, but reshape where things were relative to each other, almost like folding space.
I staggered back, staring at my hands. "Anime abilities… this is insane…"
Yuji grinned beside me. "Welcome to super-powered chaos."
Toga, now dizzy from bouncing through three portals in a row, collapsed onto the grass, giggling. "Heehee… I love this game!"
I shook my head, smiling. "Yeah… me too. But we have to practice. If I can control this fully, we can… do anything."
Even Shigaraki and Dabi looked intrigued. Kurogiri just raised an eyebrow, clearly plotting quietly in his head.
I realized one thing as I sank onto the hill, exhausted but exhilarated:
This wasn't just about training
This was discovering new limits.
And somehow… I had a feeling I was only scratching the surface.
The sun began to set over Jujutsu High, painting the sky in orange and pink. Toga finally lay still, exhausted. Yuji and I exchanged a grin.
"…Think we're ready for round two tomorrow?"
Yuji laughed. "…Absolutely."
And with that, I looked at the sprawling grounds below and whispered to myself:
"Let's see just how far I can go."
