Chapter 2 - Forget it

Within a short while, Arpita began to feel breathless. She pushed against Virat's chest, trying to free herself, but he held her firmly, pulling her hands behind her waist.

Her face turned red as she struggled for air. Realizing this, Virat finally released her lips. Both of them breathed heavily, trying to steady themselves. Yet he didn't move away. He gently brushed his nose against her neck and kissed her softly.

Arpita's heartbeat quickened. A strange, unfamiliar feeling spread through her. She couldn't tell whether it was the effect of alcohol or his closeness, but she couldn't deny that it stirred something inside her.

She ran her fingers through his hair. Slowly, his actions grew more intense, and with every passing moment, their breaths became heavier.

Holding her close, he led her toward the room and lowered her onto the bed. They looked at each other with desire and anticipation, their hearts pounding loudly in the quiet room.

As he leaned closer, their distance disappeared completely, and soon they surrendered to the overwhelming emotions between them. The silence of the room filled with the sound of their racing hearts and soft sighs.

Morning Time

Soft sunlight filtered through the window into the room. Both of them were wrapped in the same sheet, lying close to each other. Virat was sleeping peacefully with his head resting on Arpita's chest, while Arpita had her arm around his waist.

Because of the sunlight, their eyes slowly began to open. Arpita felt soreness throughout her body and a weight on her chest, while Virat vaguely sensed that he was lying on something soft.

Still half asleep, Virat rubbed his face against her chest, which made both of them feel something was strange. Arpita looked down, and at the same time Virat looked up. For a moment, they stared at each other in shock — and then both screamed loudly.

Virat immediately moved away from her, and Arpita let out another scream. He, too, realized the situation, but everything felt extremely awkward. Both of them quickly covered themselves with the sheet.

Tears filled Arpita's eyes as she cried, "Who are you? Why did you do this to me?"

Virat lowered his face in embarrassment. Then he began trying to recall the previous night, and slowly things started coming back to him.

Meanwhile, Arpita kept crying. Irritated, Virat snapped angrily, "Stop! Just stop!"

Startled by his harsh tone, Arpita fell silent.

Virat said, "I didn't come to you — you came and sat in my car."

"Me?" Arpita asked in disbelief.

"Yes, you," he replied. "Two boys were bothering you last night. I helped you and was about to leave, but you kept calling me 'magician, magician' and followed me. You got into my car yourself."

Arpita listened carefully but shook her head. "No! Absolutely not. I could never do something like that. You took advantage of me being drunk and then…!"

Before she could finish, she broke down crying again. Anger flashed across Virat's face. He stepped forward and covered her mouth with his hand. "Don't cry. It won't be good for you. And if I had really wanted to do something, no one could have stopped me."

Arpita continued sobbing softly. Virat looked into her tear-filled eyes, which were full of pain and distress. Somehow, he felt uneasy. Controlling his anger, he said, "Look, what's done is done. Get dressed and freshen up. We'll talk later."

He picked up his shirt and pants and started getting dressed. Arpita turned her face away, thinking about everything he had said.

Virat placed her clothes on the bed and left the room, moving into the living area.

Arpita's body ached badly. Somehow, she managed to stand up and went into the bathroom. After taking a warm shower, she felt slightly better. She dressed herself and slowly walked into the living area, her steps unsteady.

Hearing the door open, Virat turned around. Seeing her stumble, he asked, "What happened? Did you hurt your legs?"

Arpita glared at him. "This is all because of you. Look — I can't even walk properly."

Virat felt uncomfortable but still said apologetically, "Sorry. I had been drinking. I didn't realize when I crossed my limits."

Arpita sat down on the sofa, still glaring at him angrily.

He placed breakfast in front of her and said, "Eat something first."

She was extremely hungry, so without arguing, she began eating.

After breakfast—

Virat said seriously, "Let's get married."

"What?" Arpita asked in shock.

"Yes, let's get married," he repeated.

Angrily, she replied, "Are you crazy? Or are you still drunk? You don't know me, and I don't know you. Whatever happened between us — just forget it."

Saying this, she stood up to leave.

Virat grabbed her hand and pulled her toward him. She fell into his lap.

"What are you doing? Let me go!" she shouted angrily.

She tried to get up, but Virat held her firmly by the waist.

Will Virat be able to convince Arpita to marry him? Is there some hidden motive behind his proposal? Will Arpita agree?
