Chapter 1 - Unnamed

The Wings of the Blue Butterfly

‎A small village in Bengal—on the banks of a river, surrounded by flowers. The name of that village was Sonajhuri. In Sonajhuri lived a girl, her name was Neela. Neela had sky-high dreams in her eyes, but she had a strange fear—she thought she would never be able to do anything great.

‎One afternoon, Neela was crying while sitting by the river. Suddenly, a blue butterfly came and sat in front of her. The sunlight was shimmering on the butterfly's wings. Neela stared in surprise.

‎"You know," as if a soft voice floated in the air, "I used to be a small caterpillar. Everyone would get annoyed when they saw me. But I didn't lose faith. One day, the time came, and I spread my wings and flew away."

‎Neela looked around in surprise. No one was there. Only the butterfly was flapping its wings in front of her.

‎From that day on, Neela changed. She began to conquer her fear little by little every day. She studied hard, learned to sing, and learned to draw. The people of the village were surprised to see that Neela's confidence had really spread wings.

A few years later, Neela's paintings were exhibited at the Sonajhuri fair. Her paintings included a river, a flower, and a blue butterfly. Under the painting, she wrote—

"Everyone has wings, all they need is the wind of faith."

That day, a blue butterfly was really flying in the sky. And Neela understood—everyone finds their wings one day.
