I, Anup, belong to the same village. Since childhood, we have been hearing a story about an 800-year-old temple in our village. We do not know the full history of that temple or which deity is worshipped there, but people are not allowed to go there. It is said that after the temple became damaged and ruined, a mysterious power started living there. No one really knows what that power is. But if I say that I have heard a story about it, it might be hard to believe, yet it is true. So, let me begin the story.

Chapter 1 - DARK DREAM

Abhishek Sharma :This is the main lead, who is the only son of the temple priest Vishwanath Sharma. Vishwanath Sharma is the only senior priest in village Niwasgarh, and he also goes to nearby villages to perform prayers in their temples. Because of this, he is very well known in the surrounding areas. However, Abhishek is a carefree and tension-free boy. Whenever someone tells him to do something, he usually ends up doing the exact opposite.

Ayush Rajput Singh : He is the main lead's very good friend and the only son of the village chief, Ramdas Rajput Singh, who is known for his intelligence and good values. However, his son is quite different. He is always thinking about doing mischievous things. Despite this, he has strong religious beliefs.

The story begins in a cursed village called Niwasgarh. And why I call it cursed—you will soon find out.

One night, a young boy is running alone through a dark forest, desperately trying to escape from something. The darkness around him is thick, and he keeps running in fear. Suddenly, he trips over a small stone and falls to the ground.

At that moment, we see what he was running from—a dark shadow, darker than the night itself. The shadow stretches its hands toward the boy to grab him.

Just then, our main lead Abhishek suddenly wakes up from his sleep. His mother, Naina Devi, asks him if he had the same nightmare again. Ever since the death of his grandfather, Dhyan Chand, Abhishek has been seeing these terrifying dreams.

His mother tells him to wake up and take a bath because it is already late. If his father finds out that he has been sleeping for so long, he will surely get angry. Abhishek gets up from his bed, takes a bath, and then sits down to perform his morning prayers.

While praying, he begins thinking about when these strange dreams first started. It reminds him of his childhood. Back then, he used to spend a lot of time with his grandfather, Dhyan Chand. Everyone in the village knew and respected his grandfather because he was the head priest of the village temple. In fact, it was their ancestors who had originally established the temple inside the village.

Abhishek remembers that his grandfather once told him why the temple inside the village was built. It was a very old story from a time when the village itself did not exist. According to his grandfather, the village of Niwasgarh was founded by the ancestors of Sarpanch Ramdas.

The reason the village was built there was because of the old temple located at the entrance of the village. However, no one knows much about that temple. There is no idol of any god inside it, nor any sign that it was ever used to worship a deity.

Abhishek's grandfather had said that their ancestors once repaired that temple and installed an idol of a god there, but something strange happened afterward. No one knows exactly what it was, but since then, the villagers became terrified of that temple.

To avoid it, the villagers built another temple inside the village and started worshipping there instead. People were also forbidden to go near the entrance temple after midnight.

Abhishek always wondered:Why are people so afraid of that temple?Who lives there? And was that mysterious power responsible for his grandfather's death?

Abhishek decides that one day he will uncover the truth.

Just then, his mother calls out, "Abhishek, have you finished your prayers? Come and have breakfast.""Yes, Mother. I'm coming," he replies.

After breakfast, Abhishek goes to meet his best friend Ayush. He tells him that he wants to uncover the truth about the temple—its history, who built it, and why it was built.

Ayush interrupts him nervously and says, "Bro, Abhishek, stop talking about that temple again. I'm really scared of ghosts."

Abhishek laughs and makes fun of him. "Don't worry. As long as I'm with you, nothing will happen. I'll protect you from any danger."

Then he suggests that they should go to the temple that very evening, since nobody would be around at that time. Ayush refuses at first, reminding him that their parents have strictly forbidden them from even going near that temple.

But Abhishek convinces him.

The two boys believe they are going to the temple by their own choice. But in reality, the temple itself seems to be calling them.

Since they cannot enter from the front, they sneak in through the back side of the temple. This is not their first time entering the temple—they have gone there many times before, always leaving before nightfall. Yet every time, they found nothing unusual.

According to Abhishek's grandfather, however, something lives inside that temple—something beyond human understanding.

While Abhishek is lost in his thoughts, Ayush shakes him and says, "Let's go home now. It's getting dark, and we shouldn't stay here at night."

Once again, Abhishek finds no clue about his grandfather. As they are leaving the temple, he suddenly feels as if someone is watching them.

Just then, they hear something fall inside the temple's main hall. This is strange because the main hall door has always been locked, and they have never found another way to enter it.

Before Abhishek can think more about it, Ayush urges him to leave. They both head home. On the way, Abhishek cannot stop thinking about who—or what—might be inside the temple.

When he reaches home, he immediately comes face to face with his father. It is clear that his father already knows that Abhishek visited the temple again. His father becomes furious and asks where he has been all day.

Abhishek does not lie. He admits that he went to the temple.

His father is about to scold him harshly when his grandmother intervenes and takes Abhishek away.

After Abhishek leaves, his father sits silently on the sofa, remembering the past. He recalls how his own father used to say that the temple had a very dangerous history. And he cannot forget that his father lost his life because of that very temple.

Years ago, when Abhishek was just seven years old, his grandfather had taken him out for a walk in the village. A villager approached them and said that his cow had gone missing near the jungle beside the old temple. He was too afraid to search alone, so he asked for help.

Being a kind and helpful man, Abhishek's grandfather agreed and went into the jungle with him, taking little Abhishek along.

But something terrible happened there.

When they did not return for a long time, the villagers started searching for them. Near the temple, they found Abhishek unconscious outside, but his grandfather had disappeared.

When Abhishek regained consciousness briefly, he pointed toward the temple before fainting again.

From that day until now, no one knows what happened to his grandfather.

Abhishek remembers very little because he was only a child. But even today, he still sees nightmares of that incident.

That night, Abhishek sleeps beside his grandmother. Once again, he sees the same dream—his grandfather telling him to run while a dark shadow drags him away.

Abhishek wakes up screaming. He notices that his grandmother is not beside him. He gets up to look for her.

Suddenly, he hears something fall in the kitchen. He walks toward it slowly.

And when he sees what is inside the kitchen…

he screams in terror.

What did he see there?
