Chapter 41 - Chapter 043

"I won't hurt you…"

Deep in an underground clearing, Yue Tingfeng had Wanda and Natasha bound and suspended in midair.

"You're disgusting!" Wanda shouted in fury.

Enduring her discomfort, Natasha said coldly, "Looks like your 'fun' isn't just games. This kind of binding is complicated—you must've spent a long time learning it."

Yue Tingfeng walked up to Wanda and gently brushed his hand across her cheek. "Sometimes you have to relax… relieve a little stress."

Wanda's face tightened in disgust. "Don't touch me, you filthy insect."

Whenever she was humiliated like this—especially in such a revolting way—she was always on the verge of exploding.

Yue Tingfeng didn't care. "You'll become my little insect woman."

As he spoke, his hand began moving toward her body.

"Don't touch me!!"

Her scream was sharp and filled with desperation.

Even Natasha's ears rang from the intensity.

"Hahaha!!"

No one knew what Yue Tingfeng found so amusing, and no one cared to ask.

He grinned—but still didn't touch Wanda.

"For a foreign girl, you're surprisingly pure. I like you more and more."

Wanda's gaze turned razor-sharp, though she lacked the burning heat vision Carl possessed.

"You'll regret everything you've done today!!"

Yue Tingfeng smiled at her, then turned and walked toward Natasha.

"I've heard a lot of people call you a slut. I'm curious—just how much of one are you?"

His hand reached toward her again.

But Natasha didn't resist. She didn't even change her expression—she just stared at him calmly.

"Do you dare sleep with me?"

Yue Tingfeng froze, meeting her eyes.

There was no seduction in them. No emotion at all—only deep, icy indifference.

He grabbed her face. "What is there that you wouldn't dare?!"

Suddenly, he turned toward Ultron and ordered, "We've got guests. Go bring them here."

Ultron walked toward the edge of the clearing, where an extra door had appeared in the wall—one that hadn't existed before.

He stepped through it and vanished.

"Your Avengers are really slow."

Yue Tingfeng released his grip and walked to the center of the clearing, quietly waiting for their arrival.

He had noticed Natasha activating her communicator earlier—but hadn't stopped her.

Getting here would take time. More than enough time for him to complete his plan. And when the Avengers arrived, it would only help him move forward with the next step.

Killing two birds with one stone.

He needed to control all the Avengers to obtain the remaining Infinity Stones more efficiently. Searching alone took too long—having them would greatly speed things up.

Yue Tingfeng pulled the long blade from the ground.

The brightly lit clearing instantly dimmed.

"Finally… time to fuse."

A strange excitement filled him as he looked at the blade.

Gripping it with both hands, he pointed the tip toward his chest.

Thrust—!

The blade pierced straight through him.

But there was no pain on his face—no blood at all.

Instead, the blade dissolved into a blue-white light, wrapping around him and gradually merging into his body.

The entire clearing lit up—brighter than before.

Yue Tingfeng opened his eyes, looked at his hands, and clenched his fists.

"At least… a thousand times stronger than before."

Bang! Bang!

"Hiss—!"

"Boom!"

The sounds of gunfire and explosions drew closer.

Another door opened in the wall. Ultron flew in through it, bearing scars, though only shallow marks showed on the surface.

Right behind him, the Avengers entered.

"Natasha! Wanda! Are you okay?"

The moment Steve stepped in, he saw the two women hanging and immediately called out.

"We're fine… but Vision is dead! We have to get the Mind Stone back."

Natasha summarized the situation quickly.

The others looked at Vision—standing like a statue, the gem gone from his forehead, his body reverted to dull metal.

"I thought you were a good person. We were born together… and three days ago, we almost died together!"

Quicksilver glared at Yue Tingfeng with disgust, the feeling of betrayal burning inside him.

Tony said nothing—he simply launched an attack like a missile.

Boom!

Direct hit.

For someone like Yue Tingfeng, Tony had no interest in talking—especially for traitors who stabbed from behind, like Obadiah Stane.

The others stood still, watching through the smoke and flames.

"Looking for me?"

Yue Tingfeng's voice came from behind them.

Everyone turned—

Too late.

Chains shot out, binding all the Avengers in place.

Several pendants hung suspended in the air across the clearing.

After absorbing the Mind Stone, Yue Tingfeng's power had skyrocketed. Even without it, defeating them would've taken little time.

"So weak. Not satisfying at all."

The overwhelming difference in strength brought him no joy. He wanted a real battle—something that proved his existence.

He silenced everyone, cutting off their voices. He had no interest in hearing them speak.

But something felt wrong.

Why weren't they afraid?

The Avengers showed no emotional reaction, even after being defeated.

"…Failed?" he muttered.

He sensed information from his clone—something had gone wrong.

Zzzzt—!

Two red beams shot down from above.

One traced a perfect circle across the ceiling—

Then lifted it away.

Sunlight poured in.

Yue Tingfeng looked up, his expression turning serious.

Backlit by the sun, he couldn't see the figure clearly—only a silhouette floating like a god.

A red cape fluttered behind him.

"You came fast. Aren't you afraid of a trap?"

Yue Tingfeng stepped toward the Avengers, using them as leverage.

He didn't fully understand Carl's strength—only fragments from a few recordings.

Still, his confidence was over fifty percent. With the Infinity Stone, he could amplify his attacks to terrifying levels.

And even if Carl was stronger—it wouldn't matter here.

"Who gave you that confidence?"

Carl slowly descended, landing in the center of the field. His voice was calm.

"You think you can defeat me? Who gave you that idea?"

Yue Tingfeng held a yellow long blade, identical in shape to the previous one.

"I don't know how you got Superman's powers—or why you call yourself Superman. But I understand Superman very well. I know how strong you are."

He smiled at Carl, already prepared with a contingency plan.

Carl looked at him, confused. "Who told you I'm Superman?"

He had never called himself that.

"Then how do you explain your heat vision and super breath?" Yue Tingfeng insisted.

Carl waved his hand impatiently. "Believe whatever you want."

He began walking toward the Avengers casually, like taking a stroll in a park.

Something felt off. Carl could sense it—like the man in front of him was… unstable.

"Don't move!"

Yue Tingfeng shouted, placing the blade against Quicksilver's neck.

"Take one more step, and I'll—"

Before he could finish—

Carl took another step, tilting his head.

Yue Tingfeng tightened his grip, tempted to strike.

Carl kept walking, unbothered.

"Ah!"

The blade slashed toward him.

Carl shifted slightly to the left. A faint cut—less than a centimeter—appeared on his leg.

"Not fast enough."

He even mocked him.

Yue Tingfeng laughed. "You really aren't Superman. He wouldn't be like you."

Now less than ten meters apart, Carl stood before him, looking down.

"I don't care what your goal is. But I'm very unhappy about what you did with the meteor group."

Carl's expression darkened.

That was the real reason he came today.

If it hadn't affected his people, he wouldn't have cared.

"You care about people and nations… but I couldn't avoid the losses. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to enter Kamar-Taj."

An apology—but without sincerity.

Carl waved it off. "Doesn't matter. Stop talking."

Yue Tingfeng shuddered at his tone.

Without another word, he raised his blade and struck.

"Damn it!"

Carl caught the blade with his bare hand.

It wasn't over—his grip was immovable.

Crack!

The blade shattered into two pieces.
