Twenty-four hours ago, I couldn't have imagined dismantling an entire existence in less than a day. Yet here I found myself, gazing through the porthole of a luxury aircraft as Ohalhaven Bay disappeared into the distance below, watching my former life transform into nothing more than luggage stored in the cargo compartment.
The speed of our departure still felt impossible to believe. Sebastian had summoned a team of professional movers who descended upon my tiny apartment like a coordinated force, systematically wrapping and boxing every possession, every keepsake, every fragment of the independence I had carefully constructed. The landlord barely protested when we returned the keys, especially after Sebastian casually opened his banking app and transferred enough money to cover the broken lease and those mysterious wine stains I'd never managed to scrub from the kitchen wall. One swipe of his phone silenced any complaints about penalties or contract violations.
