"I have nothing to discuss with you, Damien," Aria replied coldly, turning her face away from him completely, refusing to meet his gaze.
Time passed slowly, each second dragging painfully. About an hour later, the red light above the operating room finally switched off. The doors opened, and the doctor stepped out alongside two nurses.
Aria sprang to her feet instantly, rushing toward him with panic written all over her face. "Doctor! How is my daughter?" she asked urgently. "Please… tell me she's fine."
"She's fine, ma'am," the doctor replied reassuringly, offering a small smile. "She's out of danger."
Aria's shoulders dropped slightly, but she remained tense as she listened.
"The cut on her head wasn't too deep," he continued, "but she did lose a fair amount of blood. Thankfully, her father provided blood in time." He nodded slightly in Damien's direction before continuing, "And fortunately, the injury didn't directly affect her brain."
