"Sit down," he said in a commanding voice. "If you want us to finish this meal in peace."

Despite the anger he had toward Lucy, Oscar didn't want to cause a scene in public.
However, the food remained untouched on the plate. He had completely lost his appetite.
Jack glanced toward Lucy with a hidden look of hatred.
'I won't let you take Oscar away from me… never,'
she swore silently, then forced herself to smile and deliberately leaned on Oscar's shoulder so Lucy would see.
On Lucy's side, Zoe couldn't keep quiet.
"That girl is crazy! Showing off over being a replacement… puh! puh!"
Lucy lifted her glass of juice and took a sip.
"You said you wanted to eat, so eat—stop watching other people," she replied calmly.
Zoe stared at her.
"Don't tell me you're not hurt. You broke up just two weeks ago and he's already with someone else!"
Lucy paused for a few seconds before responding.
"Why would I be hurt? I'm the one who broke up with him."
"Even so… not this fast."
Lucy glanced briefly toward Oscar, a certain emotion passing through her eyes like a breeze—so subtle that even Zoe didn't notice.
"It doesn't matter how long it's been. If they've fallen in love, that's fine," she said calmly, turning back to her friend.
"Just because I don't want to keep something doesn't mean others can't have it."
After a while, they finished and left.
As they reached near the car, Oscar's voice was heard.
