"However what??" Hearing his pause, Mai Sakurajima's voice spiked an octave.
The loneliness of the past few weeks had pushed her to her limit. If she hadn't run into Kai today, she wasn't sure how much longer she could have lasted.
Being erased from the world, screaming in a crowded train station while people walked right through her, left her frozen with fear. Most people would have given up after just a couple of days. The fact that she was still here felt like a miracle.
"I'm home."
She thought he was about to explain how to cure her. Instead, he just said something ordinary.
Mai blinked, caught off guard.
"H-Home?"
Before she could react to the sudden change in topic, she noticed they had stopped in front of a huge, fancy-looking villa. Kai unlocked the door and walked in like it was nothing special.
"I'm back."

So that was his 'however'... He was just messing with her. Trying not to show her annoyance, Mai followed him inside. She didn't have any other options. This annoying kouhai was the only person she could rely on.
"You—"
She barely got a word out before a soft voice drifted from deeper inside the house.
"Welcome home!"
Sakiko Togawa had been dozing off on the couch, but the moment she heard Kai's voice, her exhaustion vanished. She hurried over to greet him. Her eyes were locked entirely on Kai.
As for the bunny girl standing right next to him? Sakiko didn't even cast a glance in her direction.
Mai wasn't surprised. Invisibility was her new normal. If the girl had noticed her, that would have been the real shock.
"You sure are lucky, bagging a girlfriend this pretty," Mai muttered.
She didn't know the girl's name, but the atmosphere made it clear they were a couple. Her voice sounded bitter. She thought she was ready for this, but seeing his girlfriend in person made her feel a pang of jealousy.
He really was a jerk. He had a beautiful, loyal girlfriend waiting at home, but he still pinned Mai against a wall and kissed her without hesitation. Too bad the girl couldn't see her. If she could, Mai would have used that as blackmail for sure.
What would this sweet girl do if she found out her boyfriend was a cheating bastard? She would probably dump his ass on the spot. And when that happened... well, maybe Mai would take pity on him and give him a chance.
"Hehe~" Caught up in her own vindictive fantasy, Mai let out a goofy giggle.
"..."
Kai shot Mai a quick side-eye but didn't bother entertaining her delusion. He turned his attention back to Sakiko, his gaze softening.
"Didn't I tell you? If I'm out late, just go to sleep. You don't need to wait up for me."
"But I wanted to welcome you home!" Sakiko protested, pouting in a way she only ever did for Kai.
He didn't argue. Instead, he put his arm around her waist and pulled her close.
"Hey! Did you forget something important?" Snapping out of her thoughts, Mai couldn't stand being ignored anymore. "Fix my condition first! It's late. Put your girlfriend to bed and help me already!"
There was no way she was going to stand around in a bunny suit watching them be domestic all night.
Too bad Kai completely ignored her. Acting as if she didn't exist, he leaned down and whispered into Sakiko's ear. "Where's Soyo?"
"S-She already went home!"
Even though they'd been together for a while, Kai's breath on her ear still made Sakiko's knees weak. Sometime during the day, Soyo Nagasaki had left after getting some rest. She probably didn't know how to face Kai yet. Maybe Soyo wasn't as timid as she seemed. Crossing that line had left her feeling mixed up, even with Sakiko there to help.
"Don't worry. Soyo is just a little overwhelmed right now. Give her some time, and she'll come around!" Sakiko assured him, misinterpreting his silence as concern.
Kai found her honest reassurance funny. "Don't worry about it. I was just thinking... since it's just you tonight, are you sure you can handle me?"
His teasing made Sakiko blush hard. She gave his chest a gentle, embarrassed smack before gathering her courage.
"I... I'll do my best!" To her, not making him happy in bed meant she wasn't doing her job as his girlfriend.
"Is that so? Then let's see just how hard you can work!"
Kai quickly picked her up, ignoring her surprised squeak, and carried her straight to the living room sofa.
"HEY!" Mai stood frozen in shock.
She thought he would ignore his girlfriend and help her with her Adolescence Syndrome. This was the opposite of what she expected.
"Wait, what are you doing??"
"I'm still standing right here!"
"Don't pretend you can't see me at a time like this!"
Kai ignored her protests and kept going. Mai stomped her foot in frustration. When she realized they were really about to do it in the living room, her face turned bright red.
Mai couldn't handle it, so she ran into a nearby guest room to hide.
But Kai saw that the door wasn't fully closed... There was a small gap, and Mai was peeking through it, watching what was happening in the living room. She felt like a total creep, but she couldn't look away.
Is it really that pleasurable?
Hearing the heavy breathing and muffled moans from the living room, Mai's legs gave out. She slid to the floor, her heart pounding in her chest.
Kai glanced at the cracked door and smirked. He wasn't going to tell her to close it. If she wanted to watch, that was fine with him. She'd probably join in soon enough anyway.

The next morning.
Kai and Sakiko left the villa looking refreshed and energized. Well, Sakiko looked refreshed, but she was walking a little unsteadily. And that was with Kai taking it easy on her. If he hadn't, she wouldn't have made it through the night alone.
"Yawn~" Meanwhile, Mai was exhausted. Walking next to Kai, she yawned for the fifth time that morning.
"You really are a monster. Don't you know how to be gentle with your own girlfriend?" she grumbled.
She had watched everything last night. The guy wasn't human. His stamina was crazy. Mai could already picture it—if she were the one pinned under him, she wouldn't stand a chance and would be tossed around like a rag doll. From what she saw, Sakiko barely touched the ground all night.
"Who said I wasn't gentle? I took good care of her," Kai replied, glancing at the tired bunny girl. "Since it was just Sakiko, I held back a lot. When I get the chance, I'll show you what I can really do."
"Scum!"
His bold comment made Mai picture something scandalous, and she shouted the insult with a bright red face.
