Kai saw right through her bluff. Instead of looking guilty, he leaned in even closer and whispered back. "Are you saying you can satisfy me all by yourself?"
"..." Before, Haruno would have just laughed at a line like that.

"That's enough!" Yukino cut her off before Haruno could explain. "Stop causing trouble for Kai! He's not the kind of guy you think!"

"..." He was definitely doing this on purpose. That innocent, manipulative act—Haruno suddenly felt déjà vu. This was exactly how she used to behave!
