Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 — Morning in the Shared Sky

Hoseok is the emotional center (beta) of seven partners. Each of the alphas and omegas has their own strengths, insecurities, and quirks. This story explores growth, trust, playful romance, and emotional bonds, with a new central conflict: when a misunderstanding threatens their harmony, Hoseok must navigate jealousy, pride, and vulnerability to keep everyone close

Morning arrived slowly in their apartment, creeping through the tall windows in gentle streaks of gold. The sunlight painted soft patterns across the living room floor, illuminating the quiet aftermath of the previous night—blankets scattered on the couch, empty snack bowls on the coffee table, and the faint scent of vanilla candles lingering in the air.

Seven people lived here.

Seven hearts tangled together in ways that outsiders would never understand.

And somehow, despite the chaos, it worked.

Hoseok was the first to stir.

He shifted slightly under the warm weight draped across his legs and blinked sleepily at the ceiling. For a moment he forgot where he was, but then he heard the familiar sounds of morning life beginning to unfold around him.

The soft clatter of dishes.

Low voices murmuring.

And the unmistakable sound of Jungkook humming in the kitchen.

Hoseok smiled faintly.

Home.

He carefully lifted the arm that had been lazily thrown across his waist and glanced down to see Taehyung curled against him like a content cat, dark hair messy from sleep. On the other side of the couch, Jimin was half-buried under a blanket, clutching a pillow like it personally offended him.

Hoseok chuckled quietly.

How these two managed to fall asleep in such ridiculous positions every night remained a mystery.

Before he could move again, a voice drifted from the kitchen.

"Is he awake yet?" Jungkook whispered loudly.

"He will be if you keep shouting," Yoongi replied dryly.

"I'm not shouting!"

"You just did."

Hoseok laughed under his breath.

Some things never changed.

Carefully sliding out from under Taehyung's weight, he stretched his arms above his head and padded toward the kitchen. The warm smell of coffee wrapped around him immediately.

Namjoon stood near the counter scrolling through something on his tablet, glasses slightly crooked on his nose. Jin was plating toast like a five-star chef preparing a royal breakfast, while Jungkook hovered impatiently beside the coffee machine.

Yoongi leaned against the counter with his usual sleepy expression, sipping from a mug.

Jungkook spotted Hoseok first.

"Hobi!" he brightened instantly. "You're alive!"

"Barely," Hoseok mumbled, rubbing his eyes.

Jin turned dramatically.

"Perfect timing. Sit. Eat. You look like someone who lost a fight with a pillow."

"I probably did," Hoseok laughed as he slid onto one of the stools.

Namjoon glanced up and smiled softly.

"Good morning, sunshine."

Yoongi nudged a mug toward him.

"Coffee. Before Jungkook drinks the entire pot."

"I would never—"

"You finished the last one yesterday."

"That was research," Jungkook defended.

"For what?"

"For… energy."

Hoseok nearly choked on his coffee laughing.

Behind them, soft footsteps shuffled into the room.

Jimin appeared first, hair sticking out wildly in every direction, blanket still wrapped around his shoulders like a dramatic cape.

"Why is everyone awake…" he groaned.

Taehyung followed seconds later, looking only slightly more alive.

"Because normal people wake up in the morning," Jin replied.

Jimin squinted suspiciously.

"We are not normal people."

"Fair point."

Soon the kitchen was full.

Seven bodies crowding around the island, shoulders brushing, hands stealing food off each other's plates.

Jungkook stole half of Hoseok's toast.

Jimin complained about it.

Taehyung sided with Jungkook purely for chaos.

Namjoon tried to read an article but kept getting interrupted by Jin scolding everyone about table manners.

And Yoongi quietly watched everything unfold with faint amusement.

In the middle of it all sat Hoseok.

Listening.

Laughing.

Keeping the peace without even trying.

At one point Jimin leaned against him dramatically.

"Hobi, Jungkook stole my strawberry."

"You already ate three," Jungkook argued.

"That's not the point!"

Hoseok gently poked Jimin's cheek.

"You can have mine."

Jimin's face instantly brightened.

"See? This is why Hobi is my favorite."

"Hey!" Taehyung protested.

"Excuse you," Jin added.

"Rude," Jungkook muttered.

Yoongi simply smirked.

Namjoon leaned closer to Hoseok and said quietly,

"You realize they all say that."

Hoseok blinked.

"They do?"

Namjoon nodded toward the others.

"They just say it at different times."

Hoseok looked around the kitchen.

Jimin was arguing with Jungkook again.

Taehyung had stolen Jin's toast and was pretending innocence.

Yoongi had quietly slipped another coffee into Hoseok's hand.

Namjoon was watching him with gentle warmth.

And Jin, despite complaining loudly, was making sure everyone had enough food.

Hoseok felt his chest tighten slightly.

Seven people.

Seven different personalities.

Seven different kinds of love.

And somehow… he stood in the center of it all.

Not because he was the loudest.

Or the strongest.

But because he understood them.

"Why are you smiling like that?" Taehyung suddenly asked.

Hoseok blinked.

"Like what?"

"Like you're watching a romantic movie."

Jimin gasped dramatically.

"Wait. Are we the romantic movie?"

Jungkook grinned.

"Oh my god we are."

Yoongi sighed.

"This conversation is getting dangerous."

But Hoseok only laughed.

Because maybe they were a romantic movie.

Messy.

Chaotic.

Ridiculously loud.

But warm.

Safe.

Real.

And as the sunlight filled the kitchen and laughter bounced off the walls, Hoseok felt something quiet settle in his chest.

Whatever the future brought…

Whatever challenges waited for them…

They would face it together.

Seven stars.

One sky.
