It was noon. Kael walked along the roadside, calm and composed.
"Another great day. And now I've reached level 15 from that quest—my stats are increasing perfectly, and my leveling speed is improving," he said confidently as he entered a dark street.
[STATUS WINDOW]
Name: Kael Draven
Strength: 30
Agility: 26
Intelligence: 29
Points: 1000
Kael glanced at the status window, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.
"I'm getting powerful… faster than expected," he said, his confidence unwavering.
Emerging from the street, he continued walking along the roadside. Suddenly, a boy ran straight at him and collided.
"You shouldn't run like that," Kael said, tilting his head, casually caressing his chin.
The boy looked up, touching his forehead.
"You're the guy… the one in the middle, the Eiffel Tower," he said aggressively.
Kael looked down at him, calm as ever.
"Why the rush?" he asked confidently.
The boy straightened, pride swelling in his chest.
"My name is Kaito Harukawa," he said proudly.
Kael gave him a flat stare.
"So?" he asked, feigning confusion.
Kaito gritted his teeth.
"Don't you know about Harukawa Industries?" he asked aggressively.
Kael paused, thinking carefully. Then he looked down at him, calm and precise.
"You mean the one owned by Yumiko Harukawa?"
Kaito nodded vigorously.
"That's right. I'm the son of Yumiko Harukawa—the richest person in all of Tokyo!" he said, puffing his chest.
Kael ignored him, continuing to walk.
"Where are you going, Eiffel Tower?" Kaito demanded, following closely.
Kael didn't glance back.
"Why are you following me?" he asked calmly.
Kaito smirked.
"Because I want to," he said confidently.
Kael stopped and finally looked back.
"Are you a hunter?" he asked, his voice calm.
Kaito straightened with pride.
"Yes. I am," he said firmly.
Kael smiled slightly.
"Want to become my partner?" he asked, almost playfully.
Kaito rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
"A partner… but you know my status is very high," he said arrogantly.
Kael grinned energetically.
"Don't worry. We'll work together and become stronger," he said.
Kaito nodded, offering his hand.
"Understood. But you'll follow my rules," he said confidently.
Inside the Hunter Headquarters, the two entered and approached the office.
"Hello. We want to take on some dungeons," Kael said confidently.
A woman nodded, pulling up information.
"These are the dungeons currently causing problems for the citizens. If you can clear them, it would be a great help," she said politely.
Kael nodded, standing tall.
"Let's head to Setagaya Town," he said confidently, walking toward the door.
Kaito followed, smirking.
"Don't walk so fast, Eiffel Tower," he said arrogantly.
Outside, Kael glanced at him.
"Do you have a car?" he asked calmly.
Kaito clapped, and a sleek black Jaguar rolled to a stop in front of them.
"Like this," Kaito said confidently.
Kael sat inside without a word.
"Let's go, kid," he said seriously.
Kaito rolled his eyes before entering the car.
"Drive to Setagaya," he commanded the driver.
The driver accelerated through the streets smoothly.
"Faster!" Kaito shouted arrogantly.
Suddenly, a massive monster appeared in the middle of the road, surrounded by police and weaker hunters.
"A monster… in the city?" Kaito stammered, fear flashing in his eyes.
The driver quickly reversed.
"We should take another route," he said, panic in his voice.
Kael looked at the monster calmly.
"Stop," he said, his tone unshakable.
Kaito's jaw dropped.
"What? You want to stop… right here?"
The driver obeyed, halting the car.
Kael stepped out and walked toward the police and hunters.
"What's he doing?" Kaito muttered, nervous.
"Who are you?" a police officer demanded, shocked.
Kael met his gaze calmly.
"I'm a D-rank hunter, sent by Hunter Headquarters to handle this monster," he said, stepping forward.
A D-rank hunter behind him spoke up.
"We're also D-rank… and that monster is too powerful," he warned.
Kael looked up at the beast, blue flames enveloping the sword that materialized in his hand.
"Let's start the game," he said calmly.
The monster roared, shaking nearby cars, officers, and hunters.
"You didn't brush today, huh?" Kael said, tilting his head as he struck the monster's leg.
"Very soft," he added, examining the blood on his blade.
The monster's leg regenerated instantly.
"Well… regeneration," Kael said, calm as ever.
Kaito shouted from behind the barricade.
"You can't kill him, Eiffel Tower!"
A police officer looked at Kaito.
"Who are you, kid?"
Kael smiled slightly.
"Then I'll cut him down completely—at once," he said confidently.
The monster slammed the ground, causing an earthquake in the area.
Kael calmly summoned his knights.
"Manifest."
Four armored knights appeared in an instant.
"Get ready to die, monster," Kael said confidently.
The monster furiously attacked the knights, striking repeatedly.
"Why are you getting tired?" Kael muttered, summoning more knights behind himself.
He struck the monster's head.
"Goodbye, monster," he said, decapitating it.
The four knights tore apart its legs and torso simultaneously.
"Really soft… maybe its power decreased after losing its head," Kael said calmly.
The knights kneeled before him.
"Well done," Kael said, smiling before dismissing them.
All nearby hunters stared in shock.
"He killed all of them… alone?" one woman whispered, impressed.
Kael turned toward the regenerating monster.
"Start Entity Manipulation," he commanded.
[ENTITY MANIPULATION]
Scanning monster…
Kael's eyes sparkled.
"Amazing… I should merge it with that powerful sword from the golem dungeon," he said confidently.
[ENTITY MANIPULATION]
Scanning complete. Merge with inventory artifacts?
Yes / No
Kael pressed Yes confidently.
"I hope it works better," he muttered.
[SYSTEM WARNING]
Scanning overload: artifact base too small compared to monster.
Kael's eyes widened.
"Overload? What does that mean?" he asked, shocked.
[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION]
Merge processing completed.
Kael exhaled heavily.
"Finally," he said, relieved.
A new entity appeared—a knight in full armor, aura exploding around him.
"Another knight… huh," Kael muttered, slightly disappointed.
The knight kneeled, bowing deeply.
"On your command, my Lord," he said, voice full of devotion and respect.
Kael's eyes widened.
"He can talk?" he whispered to himself.
Police officers and hunters stared in disbelief.
"What… is that knight? Where did he come from?" one woman asked, shocked.
Kael rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
"From now on, your name is Xion," he said confidently.
Suddenly, more police officers arrived.
"We're here," a senior officer said calmly.
Kael stored Xion safely in the system before addressing the hunters and officers.
"That's done," he said confidently, walking past the barricades.
The hunters and officers looked on, impressed.
"Thank you very much," the woman said respectfully.
Kael smiled.
"That's my work," he said confidently.
A woman followed him across the barricade.
"By the way, I'm Arie Matsumoto. And you?"
Kael kept walking.
"My name is Kael Draven," he replied calmly before sitting inside the car.
Kaito, still in the car, looked stunned.
"You're insanely powerful," he said, shocked.
Kael glanced ahead, his expression calm and unwavering. "We don't have time for this. The dungeon won't wait," he said, his voice carrying quiet authority.
Kaito straightened up, curiosity flickering in his eyes. "What's your name?" he asked, tone measured.
Kael turned to him, a faint, confident smile playing on his lips. "Kael Draven," he replied, each word laced with certainty.
Elsewhere, Arie returned to the other hunters, still riding the surge of awe. "That boy… he was insanely powerful," she said, eyes wide with admiration.
Suddenly, the head of the Hunter Headquarters stepped into the room, her expression a mix of concern and regret. "I apologize. We couldn't send more hunters—other dungeon missions demanded our attention," she explained, voice tinged with sorrow.
Arie's smile was sharp, almost predatory. "What are you saying? Thanks to you, we had the man who could take it down alone," she said, her confidence radiating.
A police officer nearby nodded, calm and precise. "He's the only one capable of handling it," he added.
The Headquarters head tilted her head, a flicker of confusion crossing her face. "Well… I'm glad everyone made it out alive," she murmured, before calling an ambulance for the injured hunters.
On the other side, a car screeched to a halt in front of the dungeon, now cordoned off with police barricades.
"Perfect… looks like no one's here," Kaito muttered, slipping past the barriers without hesitation.
Kael followed, his expression calm and commanding. "We go in. The dungeon master won't wait for anyone," he said, stepping forward with quiet confidence.
Suddenly, two men and three women emerged from the shadows.
"Who are you?" one of the men demanded, voice sharp and aggressive.
Kael turned to face them, calm and unshaken. "We're here to clear the dungeon," he said evenly.
The man bared his teeth, a glint of rivalry in his eyes. "Yusho Hashuro. I'm the one who's going to defeat the dungeon master," he growled.
Before tension could escalate, one of the women stepped forward, placing herself between the men. "It's fine. We can go in together… and share the loot," she said, her voice soft yet commanding. Her curvaceous figure caught Kaito's attention immediately, every movement drawing the eye.
Her gaze softened as she looked at Kael. "I'm Yukie Sato," she said gently.
Another woman smiled warmly. "I'm Ren, and this is Yuri," she said, gesturing to her companion.
A young man beamed with energy. "Hantaro," he introduced himself, voice bright and confident.
Yukie stepped closer to Kael, her tone intimate, almost teasing. "Don't worry… we'd love to work with you," she whispered, the subtle sway of her figure making it impossible to ignore.
Kaito chuckled, shrugging. "Why not? We could use the help."
Kael shot him a flat, unamused stare, then turned back to the dungeon entrance. "Stay alert. One mistake in there, and we won't come out unscathed," he warned, stepping into the darkness.
The others followed, voices carrying excitement and curiosity. "This place is… fascinating," Ren remarked, eyes sparkling.
Kael rubbed his chin thoughtfully as he entered deeper, voice low to himself. "I need to stay focused… I can't afford distractions—not with this many people around."
