Part 7 – The Letter Lily Left Behind
Years passed after Ethan opened his photography studio "Lily's Light."
The small studio slowly became popular in Riverdale. People came to take family photos, wedding pictures, and portraits.
Many said Ethan had a special talent.
His photos always felt… emotional.
Like every picture carried a story.
But Ethan knew the truth.
Lily had taught him how to see the beauty in life.
An Unexpected Package
One quiet afternoon, a delivery man arrived at the studio.
"Package for Ethan Carter," he said.
Ethan frowned slightly.
"I didn't order anything."
The delivery man shrugged.
"It was scheduled for delivery today."
Ethan looked at the box.
It was small.
And old.
The sender's name made his heart stop.
Lily Anderson.
Ethan's hands trembled.
"That… that's impossible."
Lily had died years ago.
How could she send a package?
He slowly opened the box.
Inside was a small envelope.
And a memory card.
His breathing became heavy as he opened the envelope.
Inside was a handwritten letter.
Lily's handwriting.
Lily's Letter
Ethan slowly began reading.
"Dear Ethan,"
"If you are reading this, it means a few years have passed."
"I asked a friend to deliver this to you later, because I didn't want you to read it while everything was still painful."
Ethan's eyes filled with tears.
"First, I want to say thank you again."
"You made the last days of my life feel like a lifetime of happiness."
"But there is something I never told you."
Ethan felt his heart beat faster.
"When my brother gave me the flash drive, he also gave me another one."
"The police only received part of the truth."
Ethan looked at the memory card inside the box.
His hands shook slightly.
"The second memory card contains information about many other crimes."
"But the real reason I kept it hidden is something else."
Ethan continued reading slowly.
"My brother wasn't the only one fighting those people."
"There are still others out there trying to stop them."
"If you ever feel strong enough… give them this memory card."
"You once told me you would always look for me."
"Maybe this is another way you can find me."
Ethan wiped his tears.
The final lines of the letter were written softly.
"And Ethan…"
"Please don't spend your life only remembering me."
"Keep loving life."
"Keep chasing sunsets."
"Because somewhere in the universe…"
"I'm still watching you smile."
"Love, always."
"— Lily"
A New Mission
Ethan sat silently for a long time.
The studio felt quiet.
The memories came rushing back again.
But this time, something felt different.
Not sadness.
Purpose.
He picked up the small memory card.
Maybe Lily's story wasn't completely finished yet.
Maybe there was still something he could do.
For her.
For the truth.
Ethan looked at Lily's photo hanging on the wall.
The sunrise over Riverdale.
He smiled gently.
"Looks like our story isn't over yet."
Outside the window, the sun slowly began to set.
And somewhere far away…
A new chapter of Ethan's life was about to begin.
