Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE :The Boy Who Sat Behind the Most Beautiful Girl

They say first love never truly disappears. It may fade with time, but somewhere deep inside, it always remains—quiet, stubborn, and unforgettable.

For me, that first love has a name.

A face.

And a seat right in front of mine in a dusty classroom.

My story didn't begin with a dramatic confession or a romantic moment under the sunset. It started in the fourth grade—an age filled with messy handwriting, ink-stained notebooks, and school uniforms that never stayed clean.

Back then, I was just a clueless boy who barely understood the world around him. I didn't know how to talk to girls, and I definitely didn't know how to behave around someone special.

Year after year, I sat on the bench directly behind her.

But instead of being some "knight in shining armor," I was probably the most annoying person in her life.

I had terrible manners.

If I had a cold, I would sneeze right behind her.

If I coughed, I didn't even bother covering my mouth.

And the word "sorry"?

It didn't even exist in my vocabulary.

I was awkward, clumsy, and completely unrefined.

To her, I was probably nothing more than an irritating shadow sitting behind her every day.

She, on the other hand, was the complete opposite.

She was the sun around which the entire school revolved.

Without a doubt, she was the most beautiful girl in the whole school. Teachers adored her. Boys tried to get her attention. Whenever she walked through the corridor, it felt like the world itself paused to look at her.

And then there was me.

Just a boy sitting quietly behind her…

watching the sunlight reflect on her hair through the classroom window, wondering if she even knew that I existed.

Time has a strange way of moving.

Old notebooks get replaced. Classrooms change. Faces slowly mature.

And somewhere along the way, the clueless boy from fourth grade began to grow up.

By the time we reached tenth grade, something inside me had changed.

All those silent years of watching her…

all those unnoticed moments…

had slowly turned into something far deeper.

It wasn't just admiration anymore.

It was love.

A quiet, stubborn, one-sided love that refused to disappear no matter how hard I tried to ignore it.

And one day, with my heart beating wildly against my chest like a trapped bird, I made a decision.

For the first time in my life, I gathered every ounce of courage I had.

I was going to confess.

I was finally going to tell her the truth I had hidden for six long years.

But life… isn't always like the movies.

Did she look into my eyes and see the years of silent love I carried?

Did she forgive the annoying boy who once sneezed behind her in fourth grade?

Or was I always destined to remain exactly what I had always been—

the boy sitting quietly behind the most beautiful girl in school.

And that's how my first love began.

A love that would change my life forever.

A love that might have been beautiful…

but perhaps was always meant to remain—

"An Unfinished Story."
