Chapter 1 - Trapped in a story i loved too much - chapter 1

Ayaka's fingers flew across the pages, her eyes sparkling with obsession. The novel her older sister had poured her heart into—an otome story full of rivalries, forbidden love

, and hidden secrets—was open on her desk, dog-eared and covered in sticky notes. Every plot twist, every romance confession, every dramatic duel between the heroine and the villainess was burned into her memory.

"I swear,"

Ayaka whispered, gripping the edge of the desk,

"if she writes a stupid ending again, I'm rewriting it myself."

Her room was a shrine to romance. Posters of elegant noble houses, sketches of character designs, and sticky notes with

"plot improvements"

covered every surface. She leaned back in her chair, eyes wide, as she read the latest chapter her sister had just finished creating.

In this world, the villainess' older sister had always been… cruel. Everyone feared her younger sibling, the villain, but the older sister had wielded influence with icy perfection

. Ayaka knew the story backwards and forwards, and she had memorized every beat of Mistuki's journey, the heroine destined to outshine her rival.

She gasped at the dramatic climax of her sister's creation.

Mistuki is about to confess… again!

Her heart raced. She couldn't stop. She had to finish reading. She reached for her coffee mug, her mind on the love confessions, when…

A blinding screech of tires.

A flash.

A pain that burned from head to toe.

Her vision swirled.

The world tilted. And then, darkness.

A strange glow pulsed in front of her eyes. Words hovered, bold and impossible:

"SYSTEM: CHANGE YOUR FATE?

"

Ayaka's mind screamed, but her fingers clicked without thinking. Yes.

The world shattered.

Bright light, impossible warmth, a strange pull in her chest—and then silence.

When she opened her eyes, she wasn't in her room anymore. The luxurious walls of a noble estate surrounded her. She gasped. Her hands… they weren't hers. Pale, delicate, adorned with rings she'd never worn. Her reflection in a gilded mirror revealed her new form:

the villainess' older sister.

"Wait… what?"

Ayaka whispered, panic and excitement mixing in her chest.

The memories of the novel flooded her mind—her sister's story, the duels, the confessions, the rivalries, the power struggles.

She now held the fate of the villain's younger brother and even Mistuki in her hands. And she knew what everyone expected her to do: cruelty, manipulation, domination.

Ayaka shook her head. Not this time.

Her lips curved into a small, mischievous smile.

"If everyone expects me to be cruel…

I'll rewrite it my way."

From the window, she glimpsed the younger villain brother, pacing nervously in the courtyard.

And somewhere beyond, Mistuki—bright, determined, and entirely unaware of the person she now stood in front of—was about to step into a story far more complicated than she could imagine.

Ayaka clenched her fists, feeling the faint hum of healing magic awaken beneath her fingers.

The warmth spread through her body like a promise. I may be reborn into a story… but this time, I control the plot.

Her heart raced with possibility. Her mind swirled with strategy.

And in the distance, the soft flutter of the story's world whispered to her: adventure, romance, rivalry, redemption… and maybe love she hadn't even imagined yet.

"Welcome to your new life,

Ayaka,"

she whispered to herself,

"let's see how this story really ends."
