Morag, surprisingly, contributed the most practical gift: a kelpie-made barrier around Dumaguete's waters, preventing approach by sea.
"Kelpies are territorial," she explained. "No one crosses our waters without permission. The Ibwa won't be an exception."
Ariel stayed close, never leaving Glad's side.
"Whatever happens," he said, "we face it together."
