Jay's POV:
The next morning, I woke up and freshened up. When I came out, I saw him sleeping peacefully, hugging my pillow.
Still the same as years ago.
I kissed his head and was about to wake him up when my phone buzzed.
I looked at the screen.
Kuya?
"Hello, Jay," Kuya's voice came from the other side.
"Yes, Kuya?" I said.
"Jay, your Mama and Tita are missing you so much. They're saying there's only one week left before the wedding. Would you like to stay with us for a week?" Kuya asked.
"Of course, Kuya! I was thinking the same. I'm coming today," I said.
He thanked me and ended the call.
I shook Keifer gently to wake him up, but he only hummed and nuzzled the pillow.
So I decided to pack my bag first.
I started packing my things.
"Jayy... I'm up. Don't leave me," Keifer said as he sat up.
"Idiot," I chuckled and sat on the bed.
He quickly pulled me closer.
"I'm going to stay at Kuya's house. He called me and said Mama and Tita are missing me," I said.
He kissed my head and nodded.
"But how can I live without you?" he asked dramatically.
"Babe, it's just for one week. Then we'll get married," I said.
He nuzzled into my neck.
"Okay," he said.
"Now come on, get ready. I'm going to tell Mom and Dad," I said.
He nodded.
I left the room and went downstairs.
I saw Mom making breakfast while Papa was feeding Kerein and Kaira.
I'm going to miss these little cuties of mine.
"Morning, Dad," I said and hugged him.
"Morning, Princess," Dad replied.
Then I walked into the kitchen and hugged Mom.
"Morning, Mama," I said.
She kissed my cheek.
"Morning," she replied.
"Mom, Dad," I said before telling them that I was going to stay at Kuya's house for a week.
"It's okay, Princess. Go and spend some time with them too. We'll miss you," Mom said.
Just then, Kerein kicked his little legs in the air.
"Ahhh!" he squealed.
I chuckled and scooped him into my arms.
"Are you going to miss me?" I asked.
He held my finger tightly and rubbed it against his cheek.
"Aww, if you act this cute, then I won't leave you," I said as I sat down.
I also picked Kaira up.
"Are you going to miss me?" I asked.
She kicked her little legs in the air as if she was nodding.
"My babies," I said, holding them close against my chest.
I kissed their heads.
Just then, Keifer came downstairs.
He greeted everyone and kissed the babies' heads.
Then we all had breakfast, and soon it was time to leave.
Keifer put my luggage in the car.
I hugged everyone and kissed the babies' cheeks one last time.
They both held my fingers as if telling me not to go.
"Ateee!" Kegain's voice came from behind.
We all looked toward the main gate.
He ran to me and hugged me tightly.
"Are you leaving me?" he asked with a teary voice.
"It's only for one week. I promise I'll call you every day," I said, hugging him back.
He had just come home from school.
After waving goodbye to everyone, I got into the car.
Keifer sat in the driver's seat and drove toward Kuya's house.
The whole ride, we talked and laughed.
Keifer, being dramatic, complained about how he was going to sleep without cuddling me and how much he would miss me.
"It's okay, Keifer. We'll talk on video calls. Besides, our college is open now," I said.
He nodded.
Today we were supposed to go to college, but when we talked to our friends, they said they would go after three days, so we decided not to go either.
"Yeah, Jay. I'll come to pick you up and drop you home," Keifer said.
"No need. I'll go with Aries," I replied.
But he shook his head.
Soon, we reached the mansion.
I rang the doorbell, and Mama opened the door.
I quickly hugged her tightly.
"Mamaaa!" I said.
"My Princess," she said, hugging me back.
Just then, Tita came too, and I hugged her as well.
Then we all sat on the couch.
"Oii, Aries," Keifer greeted him.
The two of them did their bro-code handshake.
"Jayyyy!" I heard someone call from the stairs.
I looked up and saw Ella.
I ran toward her, and we hugged each other.
"You're here?" I asked.
"Actually, I'm going to stay here for a week because my parents aren't home and I was alone. Aries' mom told me to stay here," she said.
"Aries' mom... or your mother-in-law?" I whispered.
She smacked my arm and blushed.
Then Ella side-hugged Keifer, and we all sat on the couch.
We talked and laughed together.
After about an hour, it was time for Keifer to leave.
"Keifer, I'm going to miss you," I whispered as I hugged him.
"Miss you too, baby," he replied.
We hugged tightly, and he gave me a quick peck.
My face turned red because he kissed me in front of my family.
After he left, Ella and I went to my room and started gossiping.
Soon, it was time for dinner.
We all had dinner and then went to our rooms.
Ella wanted to sleep with me, but Aries didn't let her.
He started acting like a child and showed her his puppy eyes.
So I told Ella to sleep with him instead.
I went to my room and called Keifer.
We talked on a video call and laughed together.
I also talked to Kegain, and he complained that Keifer was teasing him and irritating him.
I laughed and told Keifer not to tease Kegain anymore.
After talking for a while, we blew each other a kiss through the screen and ended the call.
Soon, I drifted off to sleep.
The next morning, I woke up and freshened up before going downstairs.
"Good morning," I smiled as I walked into the dining room.
"Morning, Princess," Mama replied.
"Morning," everyone greeted.
I sat beside Ella while breakfast was served.
As we were eating, Tita suddenly looked at Aries and Ella with a smile.
"You know... after Jay and Keifer's wedding, I think it's your turn."
Ella froze for a second before looking at Tita.
"Tita..."
"What? I'm only saying the truth."
Mama chuckled.
"I agree. The two of you have been together for years."
Aries rubbed the back of his neck.
"We're not in a hurry."
"Exactly," Ella nodded. "Let us enjoy being boyfriend and girlfriend first."
Tita sighed dramatically.
"But I want grandchildren."
Ella covered her face in embarrassment.
"Tita!"
I couldn't stop myself from laughing.
"Aww, Ella is blushing."
She looked at me with narrowed eyes.
"Don't laugh. You're next."
"I don't mind," I grinned. "My wedding is only a week away."
Everyone laughed.
Ella crossed her arms.
"Just wait. After your wedding, I'll be the one teasing you every single day."
"I'll be waiting."
Aries chuckled while shaking his head.
"You two will never stop teasing each other."
"We're best friends. It's our job," I replied proudly.
After breakfast, Ella and I helped Mama and Tita arrange a few things around the mansion while the boys discussed some wedding-related work in the living room.
By afternoon, we all relaxed together, talking about old memories, laughing at embarrassing stories, and counting down the days until the wedding.
It felt warm... just being surrounded by the people I loved.
For the first time in a long while, everything felt peaceful.
