Chapter 113 - Chapter 112: Moltres in the Galar Region,

Chapter 112: Moltres in the Galar Region,

  Day Two.

Xia Mu woke up early and went to the yard to care for his Pokémon.

His parents were also up early; they had important matters to attend to, so they quickly prepared a breakfast, ate, and then said goodbye to Xia Mu.

As the number of Pokémon increased, so did the time required to care for them.

Xia Mu always adhered to a principle: once caught, they should be treated well, not abandoned and neglected.

When playing games, to complete his Pokédex, he would catch all types of Pokémon and store them in his computer case, since they didn't require special care, and he only used about a dozen or so.

In short, the real world is nothing like the game.

Playing games is one mindset, watching anime is another.

Especially when watching anime, Ash leaving all his caught Pokémon at Professor Oak's lab and starting over in every region seemed rather idiotic to Xia Mu.

Of course, it's necessary for the plot.

He wondered how Ash would fare in the real world. He wouldn't be like Ash.

At least he treated every Pokémon he caught seriously, even if he didn't carry them around all the time, he would rotate them frequently to bring out their unique characteristics.

He fed the Pokémon one after another, the most important thing being to give them Pokéblocks.

After getting used to it, this feeding became a pleasure, and it also further deepened the bond between him and the Pokémon.

Time flew by, and it was almost nine o'clock in the morning.

Mei Xing and Mu Zi came to take care of the Pokémon. The difference was that because Xia Mu had agreed to let the research institute set up a temporary site here, they brought a lot of equipment this time.

After confirming the functionality of the equipment, Xia Mu allowed them to bring it inside.

After all, not everything can be left at home. Even though he agreed to the temporary setup, it didn't mean this place became his research institute's territory.

At the very least, he needed to ensure he and his Pokémon had enough privacy. If it was surveillance equipment, then sorry, absolutely not.

Not long after, Professor Magnolia and Sonia arrived.

Their eagerness was undoubtedly because Xia Mu had caught the legendary Moltres from the Kanto region.

One surprise after another, one unexpected turn of events, this time involving a legendary Pokémon—if this didn't make Professor Magnolia and Sonia interested, then nothing could move them.

"This is the Moltres of the Kanto region! I've seen pictures before, but seeing it in person is truly awe-inspiring!" Sonia exclaimed excitedly, her eyes sparkling.

Her gaze swept over Moltres from head to toe, making Moltres want to flee.

For Moltres, the ordeal of last night was still fresh in its memory, and now several humans had come to examine it like an object.

It knew it was a divine bird, admired and respected by humans, but being stared at like this was truly uncomfortable.

"The fire god of the Kanto region is fundamentally different from the Moltres that appears only once every few decades in our Galar region.

Having lived most of my life, I have personally witnessed the Moltres, which is known as the representative of sacred fire," Dr. Professor Magnolia began to murmur.

Her words naturally carried great weight.

Sonia and Xia Mu both knew about the Moltres from the Galar region, so they simply looked at Professor Magnolia, waiting for her to continue.

Mei Xing and Mu Zi, however, were researchers from the Kanto region and unfamiliar with the Galar, so they didn't know anything about the Moltres there.

"Are there different Moltres among different Pokémon?" Mei Xing asked.

Professor Magnolia nodded, looked at the two promising young researchers, and explained, "You two are researchers studying changes in Pokémon behavior, so you should know that some special Pokémon undergo unique changes due to their habitat, such as different colors, size differences, mutations, etc...

The Moltres from the Galar region and the Moltres from the Kanto region, although both are Moltres, are actually two different extremes."

"The Kanto Moltres is your legendary divine bird, the fire god in mythology, a symbol of holiness... But the Galarian Moltres is known as an evil Pokémon; its flames exude an evil aura, said to be able to burn even souls.

In terms of type, the Kanto Moltres is a Fire/Flying type, while the Galarian Moltres is a Dark/Flying type."

Having said this, Professor Magnolia adjusted her glasses and gave a command to the Rotom Pokédex floating in the air beside her.

"Rotom Pokédex, bring up the information on the Galarian Moltres and show it to everyone."

  "Yes, Rotom." Rotom

appeared before everyone, and the large screen quickly lit up, displaying the form of the Galarian Moltres.

It wasn't exactly the same, but completely unrelated.

'Gaa—Awooo!!' (This is supposed to be called Moltres alongside this divine bird? Are you kidding me! Are you blind?)

Moltres was clearly shocked; its appearance, so drastically different from its previous form, was simply unacceptable.

Xia Mu heard its complaint and was both amused and exasperated.

If he weren't a transmigrator, he wouldn't believe it either; the game clearly stated different forms.

"Don't get excited. It seems you don't know about the Galarian Moltres's form." "Xia Mu spoke up.

These words immediately drew everyone's attention.

Xia Mu could talk to Pokémon.

Sonia knew this, but Professor Magnolia, Mei Xing, and Mu Zi didn't.

"It seems we'll need to investigate this further. After all, the reason the 'Moltres' of the Galar region is called 'Moltres' is because the native inhabitants of the Crown Tundra call it the legendary Pokémon 'Moltres.' Besides Moltres, there are also corresponding Zapdos and Articuno..." Professor Magnolia said.

Even if this Moltres negates the Galar region's "Moltres," the Galar region's "Moltres" is still "Moltres."

This world is incredibly wondrous; not only humans, but even Pokémon themselves cannot fully understand it.

Some facts, even if unwilling to be acknowledged, are undeniable.

"Speaking of which, Xia Mu, you should thank me.

If I hadn't told you about the earthquake and volcanic eruption last night, you definitely wouldn't have had a chance to catch Moltres." Sonia looked at Xia Mu with a smile in her eyes, her intentions ulterior.

Xia Mu felt a little embarrassed by her gaze, and seeing . Professor Magnolia's teasing look, he immediately asked, "So, how do you want me to thank you?"

"Actually, there's no need for much thanks. Just lend me your Moltres so I can study it properly." Xia Mu couldn't refuse Sonia's request and could only agree.
