Chapter 1 - Ebhabe Fire Asha Jai ,part4

Story Title: Ebhabe Fire Asha Jai – Part 4

Characters: Arnab, Meghla, Riya, Soumya, Arnab's Mother

The winter evening in Kolkata felt strangely quiet. Arnab was standing near the riverbank, looking at the slow water of the Ganga. His mind was full of memories—memories of Meghla.

Three months had passed since Meghla suddenly disappeared from his life.

Arnab whispered to himself,

"Why did you go away Meghla… without telling me anything?"

Just then his friend Soumya came and stood beside him.

"Still thinking about her?" Soumya asked softly.

Arnab smiled sadly. "Some people never leave your heart, even if they leave your life."

Soumya sighed. "But life doesn't stop, Arnab. Maybe she had a reason."

Arnab remained silent. Deep inside, he still believed Meghla would come back someday.

Meanwhile, in another part of the city, Meghla was sitting near a window in a small rented house. The cold wind touched her face, but her eyes were full of tears.

Her cousin Riya noticed her sadness.

"Meghla, you are still thinking about Arnab, right?"

Meghla nodded slowly.

"I never wanted to leave him," Meghla said. "But I had no choice."

Riya placed her hand on Meghla's shoulder.

"Then tell him the truth."

Meghla shook her head. "If Arnab knows everything, his life will become complicated. I don't want that."

But her heart was restless.

Every day she remembered the last day she saw Arnab.

Flashback

That evening Meghla received a phone call from her father. His voice was serious.

"Meghla, you must come home immediately."

When she reached home, she discovered the truth. Her father had arranged her marriage with a businessman's son to solve family financial problems.

Meghla protested,

"Baba, I love Arnab!"

But her father looked helpless.

"Our family is drowning in debt. This marriage will save us."

Meghla felt her world collapse.

She decided to disappear from Arnab's life rather than drag him into her family crisis.

Without meeting him, without explaining anything, she left.

Back to Present

Arnab's mother noticed her son's pain every day.

One night she said,

"Arnab, if someone truly loves you, they will come back. Love always finds its way."

Arnab looked at her and smiled faintly.

"I still believe that, Ma."

The next day something unexpected happened.

Soumya called Arnab excitedly.

"Arnab! I saw Meghla today!"

Arnab stood up immediately.

"What? Where?"

"Near College Street… I'm sure it was her."

Arnab's heart started beating fast.

After months of emptiness, hope suddenly returned.

Without wasting time, he rushed towards College Street.

The crowd was huge—students, book stalls, tea shops.

Arnab looked everywhere.

And then…

He saw her.

Meghla was standing near a small bookshop.

For a moment both of them froze.

Time seemed to stop.

Arnab slowly walked toward her.

"Meghla…?"

Her eyes filled with tears.

"Yes… Arnab."

There were thousands of questions between them, but silence spoke louder.

Finally Arnab asked softly,

"Why did you leave me without a word?"

Meghla lowered her eyes.

"I thought it was the best for you."

Arnab shook his head.

"No. The best thing for me was you."

Tears rolled down Meghla's cheeks.

"I didn't want to ruin your life with my problems."

Arnab replied firmly,

"You were never a problem. You were my strength."

For the first time in months, Meghla looked directly into his eyes.

And she realized something.

Arnab's love had not changed.

Just then Riya arrived. She had followed Meghla because she feared this moment might come.

Riya spoke honestly.

"Arnab, you deserve to know the truth."

Meghla tried to stop her, but Riya continued.

"She left because her family forced her into marriage for financial reasons."

Arnab looked shocked.

"Marriage?"

Meghla quickly said,

"I refused. I left home instead."

Arnab felt a mix of pain and admiration.

"You suffered all this alone?"

Meghla nodded quietly.

"I thought staying away would protect you."

Arnab took a deep breath.

"Love doesn't protect by leaving. It protects by staying."

Those words touched Meghla's heart deeply.

Evening lights slowly filled the street.

Arnab and Meghla sat together at a small tea stall.

For the first time after months, they talked freely.

About pain.

About fear.

About hope.

Soumya joined them and laughed.

"Finally! This movie-like drama is ending."

Everyone smiled.

But Arnab knew something important.

Love needed courage.

He looked at Meghla seriously.

"Will you fight your problems with me this time?"

Meghla hesitated for a moment.

Then she nodded.

"Yes. Together."

Arnab smiled warmly.

"That's how people truly return… not just in life, but in each other's hearts."

Meghla whispered,

"Ebhabe fire asha jai… this is how someone comes back."

The night sky above Kolkata was full of stars.

And for Arnab and Meghla, a new chapter of their story had just begun.

But somewhere deep in Meghla's mind, a hidden fear still existed.

Her family problem was not fully over yet.

And the future might bring new challenges.

Yet one thing was certain now—

This time, they would face everything together
