Keifer carefully helped Jay walk inside the mansion.
The huge hall looked warm and elegant.
Soft lights.
Large windows.
Everything looked peaceful.
Jay slowly looked around.
"It's still as dramatic as ever."
Keifer chuckled.
"You've only been here once."
Jay shrugged.
"It was enough."
He didn't argue.
He simply walked slowly beside her, making sure she didn't strain herself.
After a few minutes he stopped in front of a door.
He opened it.
"This is your room."
Jay stepped inside.
It was a beautiful guest room.
Large bed.
Soft blankets.
A balcony.
Everything neat and comfortable.
Keifer turned to her.
"You'll stay here."
Jay looked around quietly.
Then she looked back at him.
"No."
Keifer blinked.
"What?"
Jay calmly walked back toward him.
"I'm not staying here."
Keifer frowned slightly.
"Jay, this room is comfortable."
Jay crossed her arms.
"I didn't say it's not."
"Then?"
Jay looked straight at him.
"I want to stay in your room."
Keifer froze.
"What?"
Jay repeated casually,
"Your room."
Keifer immediately shook his head.
"No."
Jay narrowed her eyes.
"Why?"
Keifer looked uncomfortable for the first time.
"You need rest."
"I can rest there."
"Jay—"
She stepped closer.
"You didn't let me go home."
Keifer sighed.
"Because you're injured."
Jay pointed at him.
"Exactly."
Then she said calmly,
"So I'll stay where the person who panics about my injury is."
Keifer rubbed his forehead.
"Jay."
But Jay didn't move.
She looked completely stubborn.
"I'm staying in your room."
Keifer tried reasoning.
"You'll be more comfortable here."
Jay shook her head.
"No."
Keifer sighed again.
"You're impossible."
Jay smirked slightly.
"You created this problem."
Keifer blinked.
"What?"
Jay looked innocent.
"You kidnapped me remember?"
He couldn't help laughing a little.
"You're unbelievable."
Jay simply waited.
Completely confident.
Keifer stared at her for a few seconds.
Then finally sighed in defeat.
"Fine."
Jay's face brightened.
"But—"
Jay raised an eyebrow.
"What?"
"You sleep on the bed."
"And?"
"I'll sleep on the couch."
Jay frowned immediately.
"No."
Keifer blinked.
"What now?"
Jay pointed at the couch.
"You'll break your back there."
"I'll survive."
Jay shook her head stubbornly.
"No."
Keifer looked confused.
"What do you want then?"
Jay said it casually.
"You sleep on the bed."
"With me."
Keifer choked slightly.
"What?!"
Jay looked completely calm.
"You hugged me the whole night in the hospital."
"So don't act shy now."
Keifer stared at her speechless.
Jay smiled softly.
"Relax."
"I'm injured remember?"
Keifer sighed deeply.
"You're a disaster."
Jay grinned.
"But you still listen to me."
Keifer shook his head.
But he couldn't stop smiling.
Because no matter how stubborn she was…
He was secretly happy she wanted to stay close to him. 💙
