Chapter 50 - 50

The mansion was unusually lively that afternoon.

Jay was resting on the couch, slowly sipping some juice.

Keifer was walking around, checking things in the living room, making sure everything was fine.

Suddenly, the front door opened.

"Honey!" Keifer's motherly friend entered, cheerful as ever.

But the moment Honey saw Keifer, she dashed forward and clung to him like a koala.

"Keifer! You won't believe what happened today!" she squealed.

Keifer chuckled awkwardly, gently patting her back.

Jay froze.

Her eyes widened.

Her hands gripped the couch tightly.

Her heart raced.

She felt fire inside her chest.

Honey's laughter echoed in the room, her arms still wrapped around Keifer.

Jay couldn't control herself.

Her jealousy boiled over.

Before anyone could react, she jumped up.

"HEY!" she shouted, storming toward them.

Keifer looked shocked.

"Honey… wait—"

But Jay had already reached her.

Her hand swung out instinctively—and Honey got a punch on the shoulder.

Honey yelped in surprise, stumbling back.

Keifer immediately caught her and steadied her.

"Jay!" he shouted, his eyes wide.

Jay's chest heaved.

"Are you kidding me?! She's clinging to you like that!" she shouted, pointing furiously at Honey.

Honey rubbed her shoulder, looking both hurt and confused.

"I… I just—" she started.

Jay cut her off.

"No excuses! Stay away from him!"

Keifer held Jay gently but firmly.

"Jay… calm down!"

Jay shook her head violently, tears of frustration forming in her eyes.

"I can't! You're mine, Keifer! And I saw that!"

Honey looked at them nervously.

Ella, who had been quietly watching from the hallway, finally spoke.

"Jay… breathe!"

But Jay wasn't listening.

She stepped closer to Keifer, clinging to him as if he were her lifeline.

Keifer's heart ached seeing her like this.

He pulled her slightly into his arms.

"Jay… listen to me. Calm down. She's just a friend!"

Jay's hands were still trembling.

"I don't care! I don't want anyone touching you like that!"

Keifer hugged her tightly, pressing his forehead against hers.

"You're the only one I want, Jay. You're mine. I swear."

Jay's anger slowly began to melt, replaced by relief—and embarrassment.

She looked at Honey, who was awkwardly smiling.

"I… I'm sorry," Jay muttered, still pouting.

Honey laughed nervously.

"Uh… I'll just… leave?"

Keifer nodded, still holding Jay close.

As soon as Honey left, Jay buried her face in Keifer's chest.

"I can't… I just… I hate when people cling to you," she whispered.

Keifer chuckled softly, rubbing her back.

"You don't need to worry. I'm all yours."

Jay lifted her head, still fuming but calmer now.

"Good… because don't even think about testing me again."

Keifer smiled gently.

"I wouldn't dare."

And for the first time that day, Jay felt completely at peace—right in his arms. 💙
