The mud rises up toward the air, the sound of the churning soil and water exploded.
He dashed forward, his feet kick the ground and in that one moment he lunges forward.
"Argh!" in that moment Henrik thrust forward with all of his strength
Whoosh!
One moment. That is all it takes. One moment of neglect, one moment of distraction, and then a stab straight to stomach
In that moment, that soldier panicked, and move his sword to his stomach.
The intention is to deflect.
And Henrik sword move get deflected but Henrik smiles.
In that moment, for both of them, it felt like time slowed down. Henrik smiles and the soldier saw it, and he feels his heart drops.
A smile of confidence. That alone give the soldier the premonition that something is going wrong.
"Gotcha!" borrowing that momentum of deflection, Henrik pointed the tip of the sword toward the neck
The soldier knew right there and then, he would die. The hand would not be fast enough to move the sword to deflect
And in that moment, the soldier even forgets to jump back.
The mud holds his feet, and the mind was thinking about the sword and just right before the tip of the sword reach his neck, his mind finally remember he could jump but by now…..it is too late
And the sword stab right through

It is the sound that Henrik is quite familiar with.
Though before it is always him listening to this sound before he breathes his last.
This time the sound is heard on someone else flesh.
And the sound different when he heard it from other source
This is the sound of tearing. But not the tearing of paper, or the tearing of a bark, but the sound of the flesh being teared by something sharp.
Each time Henrik hears it, he felt his heart sank.
This kind of brutality, one would only see it in those forbidden videos.
Henrik himself avoided seeing such videos.
He believed that desensitizing oneself with such videos and such thing would change the brain chemistry and change how you look at people.
But now, he had to watch it.
And not only watch it but do it.
However, Henrik did not have time to ponder much longer.
He had killed this soldier and before he could even try to savour this moment of winning someone rushed toward him and shove him away.

Henrik falls to the ground.
Once again mud splashed onto his face. Mud, flesh and blood.
All three of it he could taste it on his mouth.
"Hey!"
And then he heard it. An arrow struck to the ground inches away from him. He looks at the arrow just a few inches
And then he looks at the face of the person who had just shoved him out of harm way
"If this person did not shove me, then I am going to die again" he thought to himself.
He was shocked for a few second and he was dazed for a moment, but that person said something to him that quickly break him out of the daze
"Henrik, the line is broken! We need to run!" Henrik could not make sense of this word for a moment but then he heard it
HHOOOM!
HHOOOOM!
A horn sounded somewhere and this horn sounds echoes all over the area. But it is not so close to this battlefield
But it also did not seem far away
And Henrik could not help but frown.
"Let's go" Henrik did not even know who this person is but he clearly knows Henrik and for now, this man does not seem to mean him harm.
Henrik did not have time to even look closely at this person as he runs alongside this person.
All around the battlefield, there is people dying and falling. Right now, he did not know where to go.
He still doesn't know where he is now and where he is fighting.
Around him, the rebel soldiers that look at them also follows them.
And this person seems to be encouraging people to follow them.
Henrik did not say anything because he fears that he would slip up.
This person clearly knows him. But he did not know anything about this person
He did not want to slip up.
What if this person is close to the original body?
What if this person think he is some kind of devil or an evil entity when he discovers that this Henrik did not remember anything and ask weird questions that the original Henrik should have known?
He did not know how such a person would react when such thing happens
It is better to go along with it for now and try to see if he could extract some information about this world.
Judging by the situation, he seems to be transported into some medieval world and everything he sees and experienced until now since then highly suggested that.
But he didn't know if he travels back through time or he travels to a different world or travel to a different parallel world
Each one is slightly different in matter.
If he travels back through time, at least he would know the culture and somewhat would be able to familiarize himself with this world and if he has some wealth, he could even made some plans because he knows the future
He still did not dismiss this idea.
Yes, the language he spoke is not in a language he knew. But this did not mean he is on another world.
After all, there is many languages in the world he did not know. But he does seem to trace some sense of a Romance language
Of course, maybe this is just him hoping for it.
"We need to get to that hill over there. We will have the high ground!"
"Miklos is right!" someone said. Hearing this Henrik perked up. Finanly he knows the name of this person
Miklos.
"Hey, quickly move!" some older gruff men push him forward and he moves forward
From only two people to a dozen people following Miklos running to the hill.
Who are these people that is following Henrik and Miklos?
They were like Henrik and Miklos.
Survivor.
These dozen people that follows Miklos and Henrik….all of them are survivors. Their circumstances is not known to one another but each one of them is clearly survivors of their own tales of tragedy.
Of course, the road to the hill itself is not easy. The hill that Miklos pointed seems to have no person guarding it.
As Henrik scanned the area, he notices some parts of the hills have earth towers and there are archers stationed on it.
But not all parts of the hills have archers and towers and the tower he did see, seems hastily constructed.
"I do not know at all the defence line or any strategies of warfare, and I do not know at all about the significance of these things" he sees it, but he does not understand it.
And now as they are running towards the hills, some soldiers of the noble army realize it. Many of them are rushing towards him.
Henrik took the position of tank.
He rushes through the ground and then slide through the muddy ground and in one swift motion would either slice the soldier feet.
Or slide through their crotch area and then attack them from behind in a swift motion
There are soldiers that rush toward them more and more. It is like Henrik killing them make them afraid. Henrik believe this has something to do with the fact that he looks like a kid. And he is a peasant
This armed soldiers all think they could take him on.
The more he killed, the more precious he seems to these soldiers.
This is Henrik theories as he kills another soldier that is rushing towards him.
Every once in a while, someone would shout at him from behind to dodge
Yes, arrow attack also comes towards him.
Henrik is more proficient now.
But, he is not that proficient that he could deflect an arrow from far away.
That is only reserved for people with high kinetic vision.
There might be some improvement after he passes that death door, but it did not make him able to have such a superhuman sense
After killing two people, even though he still feels queasy taking a life, he seems to have been transformed after killing two people
He did not feel so much rejection when he killed that squire.
Because that squire had killed him many times.
What he feels at that time was quite surreal. It was more like he had killed a boss in a game instead of a person
But the second one seems to hit him hard.
Clang!
"Ah, this is not the time think about that" Henrik think inwardly.
He is now clashing with one of the soldiers.
He clashed, and then push the sword forward and the soldier was pushed backward
"So, my strength also seems to be improved"
Henrik thought to himself.
But he did not his mind wander too long this time.
The soldier takes a step back, but he managed to maintain his footing and swipe toward his head.
