Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 -- First Magic ...and Second Death

Inside the Mage Tower, Arjun was still holding the glowing spell scroll given by the Mage Master.

The chat continued flying across the screen.

"OPEN IT."

"SHOW THE SPELLS."

"REVENGE THE WOLF."

Arjun laughed.

"Relax. Let me see what I actually got."

He opened the scroll.

A blue system panel appeared.

Basic Spell Scroll — Elemental Mage

Available Beginner Spells:

• Fire Bolt – Basic attack magic

• Water Shield – Defensive barrier

• Wind Push – Repel enemies

• Minor Heal – Restore small health

• Mana Shield – Absorb damage with mana

Arjun blinked.

"…Chat."

"I can actually use magic now."

The chat exploded.

"CAST FIRE."

"TRY HEAL."

"BURN SOMETHING."

Learning the Spells

The Mage Master stood calmly nearby.

"Magic is not simply casting a spell," he said.

"It requires mana control, focus, and understanding of the element."

He raised his staff slightly.

"Try the simplest spell first."

"Fire Bolt."

Arjun nodded.

A system prompt appeared.

Do you want to learn Fire Bolt?

He pressed Yes.

The spell instantly appeared in his skill list.

Arjun raised his hand.

"…Alright chat."

"Let's try this."

He focused on the spell.

Mana gathered in his palm.

At first it was only a faint glow.

Then—

A small ball of fire formed.

Chat exploded.

"BRO IT'S REAL."

"THIS GRAPHICS IS INSANE."

Arjun stared at the flame in his hand.

"…This feels real."

He flicked his hand forward.

BOOM

The firebolt shot forward and struck a training target across the room.

The wooden target instantly burned slightly.

Arjun froze.

"…Did I just do that?"

Chat went crazy.

"THIS GAME IS INSANE."

"REAL MAGIC."

Even Arjun looked shocked.

"The physics… the movement… the heat…"

"It actually feels real."

Testing Other Magic

Next he tried Water Shield.

A thin layer of water formed around his arm like a floating barrier.

Then Wind Push.

A burst of air shot forward and pushed a wooden chair several meters away.

The viewers were losing their minds.

"THIS IS BETTER THAN ANY GAME."

Arjun laughed nervously.

"I think this is more than a game…"

Even the Mage Master nodded slightly.

"Your elemental affinity is extremely high."

Revenge Time

After practicing for a while, Arjun closed the spell window.

He looked at the camera.

"Well chat…"

"…remember the wolf from yesterday?"

The chat instantly exploded.

"REVENGE."

"KILL IT."

Arjun grinned.

"Exactly."

He walked toward the village gate.

"Time to settle the score."

Back to the Forest

The forest outside the village looked exactly the same as yesterday.

Tall trees.

Thick grass.

Strange sounds echoing between the branches.

Arjun moved carefully.

"Alright chat… this time I actually have magic."

Suddenly—

A familiar growl echoed.

The Gray Wolf stepped out of the bushes.

Its sharp eyes locked onto Arjun.

Chat exploded.

"IT'S BACK."

Arjun raised his hand confidently.

"Alright… Fire Bolt!"

He cast the spell.

The firebolt shot forward.

But the wolf moved suddenly.

The firebolt hit a tree instead.

Arjun blinked.

"…Wait."

The wolf immediately charged.

"WIND PUSH!"

A gust of wind burst forward.

But the wolf jumped sideways easily.

Chat started screaming.

"BRO AIM."

Arjun tried again.

"FIRE BOLT!"

Miss.

"FIRE BOLT!"

Miss.

The wolf was simply too fast.

Within seconds it reached him.

"Oh no."

The wolf leaped.

Arjun panicked.

"WATER SHIELD!"

The shield formed—

But it was too weak.

CRASH

The wolf slammed into him.

Arjun fell to the ground.

"HEAL—"

Too late.

The wolf's claws struck.

The screen instantly turned red.

System Message

You Have Died

Respawn available in 12 hours

The stream screen turned completely black.

For a moment the chat was silent.

Then—

It exploded harder than ever.

"BRO DIED AGAIN."

"THE WOLF IS THE FINAL BOSS."

And somewhere inside the forest—

The wolf calmly walked away.
