Banner looked at the data, his eyes widening slightly. "Your technology... is decades ahead of the outside world."
Black Panther did not deny it. "Wakanda has always remained hidden because we do not wish to be disturbed by the outside world, but now—"
He paused.
"If Ultron really went to Wakanda, our secret can no longer be kept."
Mavuika stood by the window, watching the clouds streak past. There was a hint of reminiscence in her gaze.
Wakanda... so that's how it is.
Long ago, while Mavuika was still traveling on Earth, she had passed through a dense jungle and sensed signs of life in that direction, but it was shielded by some kind of energy field.
At the time, she only watched from a distance for a while and chose not to disturb them.
The jet crossed the ocean, the mountains, and a vast jungle. Ahead, towering peaks appeared in sight, shrouded in mist, looking no different from the surrounding wilderness.
But Black Panther pressed a button on the console.
On the holographic projection, the images of those peaks began to change—the camouflage layer faded, revealing the true scene hidden behind.
A city.
A futuristic city radiating blue light.
Skyscrapers stood like crystals in the valley, flying vehicles shuttled between buildings, and waterfalls cascaded down cliffs, refracting rainbows in the sunlight.
Wakanda.
Banner stood by the window, looking at the city, his mouth hanging open wide enough to fit an egg. "This... this is Africa?"
The corner of Black Panther's mouth curled slightly; it was the first time he had smiled today. "This is Wakanda."
But the smile quickly vanished.
Because in the sky above the city, countless black shadows were flying.
Ultron's robots.
They were as dense as locusts, blotting out the sun.
They poured out incessantly from the factories Ultron controlled, each carrying lethal weapons.
The Wakandan army was resisting; aircraft were engaging the robots in the air, ground troops were setting up defensive lines in the streets, and blue energy shields flickered at the edge of the city, trying to block more invaders.
But there were too many robots; they surged from all directions like a black torrent, battering every line of defense in Wakanda.
"Oh my god," Pietro whispered.
Wanda's hands glowed with a dark red light, her eyes fixed on the robots with anger and something more complex; she was reminded of Sokovia.
She remembered the shells falling from the sky, the people crying in the ruins, and the home she could never return to.
Mavuika looked at the chaotic scene and quickly made a judgment.
"Thor, Loki, Wanda, Pietro—you go clear those robots. Take out as many as you can, and try not to let them get near the city center."
Thor grinned. "I've been waiting for this."
He raised Mjolnir, lightning exploding at the hammer's head. The jet's hatch opened, and he was the first to jump out.
Lightning fell from the sky, striking his body and turning him into a streak of dazzling blue lightning as he charged toward the robots.
Loki followed behind, green magical light shimmering around him. He wasn't as rampaging as Thor, but his magic was precise and lethal.
Every robot he hit lost control, either crashing into the ground or colliding with each other, exploding into sparks in the air.
Wanda and Pietro shared a look.
"Be careful," Wanda said.
Pietro smiled. "When have you ever seen me get into trouble?"
He turned into a streak of silver-white lightning and leapt from the jet, moving so fast he was almost invisible to the naked eye.
He wove through the air, every step landing on a robot's head, every punch shattering a robot's core.
He was like a gust of wind; wherever he passed, robots fell in large numbers.
Wanda hovered in the air, dark red Chaos Magic surging from her palms like countless tentacles entangling the robots.
She clenched her hands, and the robots were crushed and deformed, their parts scattering like raindrops toward the ground.
Mavuika watched them join the battle, then turned to Tony and Black Panther.
"We'll go to the center and find Ultron's main body."
Black Panther nodded. "Follow me."
He activated his suit's propulsion system and turned into a streak of black light, jumping toward the tallest tower in the city center.
Tony's thrusters fired as he followed behind him.
Mavuika took one last look at the battlefield. Thor was swinging his hammer amidst the lightning, each strike blowing away over a dozen robots.
Loki used illusions to create hundreds of clones, making the robots kill each other. The siblings, Wanda and Pietro, worked in perfect harmony, one controlling with magic and the other destroying with speed.
She looked away and turned into a streak of gold-red light, giving chase.
The Wakandan Palace was a massive structure embedded within the mountain.
On the outside were waterfalls and cliffs; on the inside were high-tech halls and laboratories.
At this moment, the palace's defense system was at full power, with blue energy shields flickering around the building's exterior. But Ultron's robots were too many; they crawled over the shield like ants, constantly weakening it with lasers and bombs.
Inside the palace, T'Challa, the son of the current Black Panther and Prince of Wakanda, was running through the corridor with his sister, Shuri.
Shuri was holding a tablet, frantically tapping on the keyboard.
"Brother, Ultron has already breached our main system!" Shuri's voice was urgent.
"It's downloading all our technical data!"
T'Challa gripped the spear in his hand. "Where is Father?"
"I can't reach him! He went out a few days ago, saying he was going after Klaue—"
T'Challa's footsteps paused for a moment. He knew his father went after Klaue, but he didn't expect Ultron to launch an attack while his father was away.
"We must hold out until Father returns," he said.
Shuri gave a bitter smile. "How can we hold out? There are too many robots; our warriors are about to reach their limit—"
A metallic grinding sound came from the end of the corridor. A dozen Ultron robots rushed around the corner, their eyes glowing red, and the laser guns on their arms aimed at the siblings.
T'Challa raised his spear, standing in front of Shuri.
"Run!" he shouted.
Shuri didn't run. She stood behind her brother, her fingers flying across the tablet.
"I'm hacking into their control system. Give me five seconds—"
The robots opened fire. An energy shield expanded from the tip of T'Challa's spear, blocking the first round of lasers.
But the energy shield began to flicker under the continuous assault, and his arms were trembling.
"Shuri!"
"Three seconds—"
Another robot circled around from the side and raised its arm. T'Challa didn't have time to turn; his energy shield could only block one direction.
