Chapter 1 - Princes Championship

A sunny day of spring. The weather is beautiful. The sun is hot and the weather is cold. Clouds cover a battlefield of rocks and wood, above it stands and loud crowd screaming.

The clash of swords pulls fragments from iron. The one wearing Mainland armor screams, Prince Arferi Reteri. He strikes the sword with the Rakari iron sword which is used by Prince Ashar, heir of the throne of Amax, with a movement that makes the ringing of swords like music, and with defensive steps and a scream that rises to the sky. The King of Mainland with two backward steps prepares for the final strike after he destroyed Prince Ashar, then he speaks:

Arferi: {Come on Ashar surrender so I strip you from your foolish armor and you walk naked with my beautiful horse}

Ashar replied: {If you want to see me naked maybe you imagined me while I have sex with you, unfortunately your dreams betrayed you, I search for women only}

A rush with anger from Arferi with the sword makes the crowd close their children's eyes, but a movement one step to the left makes the sword pass beside Ashar's chest and the strike did not touch him by centimeters. Ashar extends the sword with a fast hook strike that comes before the body, separating Arferi's head from the body. Loud screaming and chants with Ashar's name and shock from some and not understanding and insults. Ashar moves forward with steps that spread sand on the ground and carries Arferi's head and screams:

Ashar: {Do not trust yourselves too much so you do not become like this crazy fool}

Above the stands a place for kings made of iron and wood and luxurious royal chairs with royal guards and the flags of Mainland formed of clashing swords with a horse head and the flag of Amax formed of a bull head. Ashar waves Arferi's head in front of his father the King of Mainland.

Ashar speaks: {O Ares have sex with your wife again so you give birth to a new heir, this heir of yours has expired}

He throws Arferi's head in front of his father which makes Ares the King of Mainland angry, he stands up from his place and leaves the nobles' seating. While Asaid the Third laughs and looks with pride at his prince and the coming king of the kingdom of Amax and stands straight clapping for his son Prince Ashar. Below, Ashar raises the sword with a message of challenge to all the crowd:

Ashar speaks: {Who wants to fight me in the arena so I pull his head from his body, let him come to the arena I welcome the common people}

With deep silence from the crowd, Ashar expected the silence of the crowd, he was going to turn his back and go. But a small child of nine years old speaks:

{I am the hero and the knight Noland give me a sword now and I will fight you}

After silence a sound of laughter and mocking of the child's words, but Ashar did not laugh and spoke saying:

{O little Ser Noland, you are brave to speak to me despite your young age, you see me removing the head of a prince with my sword and you ask me to give you a sword to fight me, damn your courage but I cannot accept your duel because my body is destroyed maybe another day when you grow}

A sound of clapping and whistling to Ashar with insults also from the people of Mainland. Noland looks at Ashar with a look of challenge, but the sound of horns breaks their look. The crowd stands and leaves and leaves the stands after the end of the fight. Ashar wipes the sword from blood and puts it in its sheath and goes walking with steps to the gate that makes him enter the place of waiting of knights until they go out. The crowd leaves the place and goes to the taverns that surround the arena.

After the fight, little Noland goes to enter one of the taverns. The guard prevents him from entering because of his young age. (You cannot enter O small one, when you grow I will allow you to enter). Noland looks at him (I am big enough I can enter). Noland walks wanting to enter but the guard puts his hand on his chest (Do not bother me O small one I have work go play with the children there I do not want disturbance). Noland becomes angry after he was ignored, he goes in the street but he sees a man of a wine cart going to the back of the tavern and opens the workers door of the tavern. An idea comes to Noland to sneak so the guard does not see him.

The wine carrier opens one of the wine barrels to make sure of the wine and the tavern keeper comes from the back door to the man (Welcome Klin is the wine delicious today I want it beautiful there is a crowd inside fighting). He carries the wine while he walks inside (Do not worry it is better every day the more I age it and keep it it becomes better I never betray you I am always present…). Noland sees their entry, he turns his back and looks around to see if someone is watching him, he goes quickly to enter and opens the door, he sees no one, he enters the place in the workers' den, he goes to the left of the door and finds no one until he reaches the workers entrance to the place of drinkers reception. People shout and sing:

(He who went one day to battle with confidence returned without a head who is he? The foooool Rafeeeri)

Explosion of laughter in the tavern makes Noland take the chance, he opens the door and jumps to the seat of the drinkers. He keeps taking his breath and hiding so no one notices him. He sits and watches what they do. A state of drunkenness and laughter: (Did you see his leg when he saw Arferi's head fly from Ashar, the fool lost the bet his eye wanted to come out from shock he sat insulting Ashar until that small child spoke)

Noland sits listening to the talk that is happening, he notices a man sitting alone wearing a hooded cloak hidden, but Noland hears on his left the sound of armor moving, he turns to the man sitting beside him and sees Ashar sitting beside him drinking and laughing and speaking with the drinkers; (O man why did you not accept to make you a prisoner so you sleep with him if I were you I would listen to him so I sleep with him he is more beautiful than my wife). Hysterical laughter and mocking (I cannot accept women are more beautiful honestly O man what do I do with a foolish prince). He speaks while drinking (Desire can do everything they wanted the kingdom of Mainland to open houses of men but they canceled it do you know why). Ashar wonders with surprise and says (Why). The person leaves the beer in the cup (Maybe the King of Mainland wanted to make his son sleep with men but he died). Laughter and many sarcastic sayings make Noland laugh with them. But Ashar hears his voice and turns to Noland's direction and gets shocked (What brought you to this tavern O small one are children not allowed here). Noland becomes silent not knowing what to say. The guard notices him! (O small one what made you enter here did I not tell you not to bother me). The guard goes and holds Noland and wants to take him out, Noland screams (I do not want to leave get away from me I want to stay). The guard takes Noland but Ashar speaks (Let the boy stay if he wants he is a knight also). The guard stops and looks at Ashar and allows Noland to sit and apologizes to Prince Ashar and goes quickly after the drinkers fight.

Ashar speaks (Why did you come here did they not tell you not to enter). Noland is silent, Ashar opens his mouth to drink, Noland speaks (I want to become your companion!). Ashar drinks and puts the wine cup (I cannot O small one I am a prince not a knight). Noland becomes sad and looks at Ashar (But I want to become a knight I want to be a knight). Ashar drinks the wine and does not care. Noland becomes sad but notices the hooded cloak stands and comes toward Noland and Ashar while walking slowly. Noland becomes nervous and calls Ashar (Ser Ashar Ser Ashar). Ashar puts the beer and speaks (O small one I am not a knight). Noland screams (He is carrying an axe!!). Ashar hears quickly. Noland rushes fast toward Ashar. They fall on the ground. The cloaked one strikes the axe with full force. The drinking jar breaks and enters the waiter's table. Ashar stands quickly and takes the sword from its sheath. The cloaked one takes the axe from the table (A beautiful sword O prince from the fine Rakari type). Ashar screams (Who sent you O servant of pigs). The cloaked one attacks. One step forward and raises the axe and strikes. Ashar moves sideways avoiding the strike with difficulty touching a little his armor with a ringing sound. It goes in the air, the cloaked one loses control. Ashar takes a fast attacking stance and stabs the sword into the enemy's heart and he falls to the ground, the movement becomes still.

The drinkers are shocked and run outside in fear. Another runs without balance but with the sound of 3 swords coming out of sheaths. Ashar stands straight in rock fighting style. He holds with his bare hands the sword. Inhale. Exhale. He speaks (I killed 5 knights in the hill battle while I was injured with a severe wound. Do you want to kill me while you are only three. Good!). The first mercenary attacks with rush but clash of swords. A quick step back. He moves the sword and rubs with the other sword and pushes the mercenary's sword strongly to the right and the mercenary loses control of the sword making him break his defense. He moves quickly the sword to the left toward the chest and wounds a deep wound in the chest making him drop the sword and fall dead.

Noland moves running under a table. The other mercenary moves step by step and sees Ashar still. He finds it a chance and attacks but Ashar defends. The mercenary becomes terrified of his strength but Ashar feels tired and coughs blood. The two mercenaries see a chance. The third attacks. Ashar defends but gets a small wound. The third attacks with a piercing strike and breaks Ashar's defense. The second attacks strongly but Ashar drops his sword and holds the mercenary's sword with his bare hand, his hand gets cut and bleeds. He takes a drinking jar and hits the mercenary's head. He falls and blood comes out then faints. Ashar throws the sword.

Ashar falls. The third mercenary looks at him (It seems the prince will die today what a sad news for the king). He comes closer shouting to stab him. A sword penetrates the mercenary's armor from behind. He becomes pale and falls dead.

Ashar looks — it is Noland.

Ashar is surprised from the child.

Noland cries (Nooo don't die I will bring help now). He holds his head (Please do not die). Ashar speaks (I will not die do not worry). He coughs blood (You are brave Noland go bring help). Ashar faints.

Noland leaves him and runs outside to bring help.
