Chapter 27 - Plan

Fatty's eyes flashed with greed.

"So we do it in the next game?"

"I checked the schedule."

"Next up is [Working Out]."

"Location... Lady Eight Feet's Private Gym."

Hearing the name "Lady Eight Feet."

The two looked at each other.

And smiled.

A sinister, gloating smile.

"Lady Eight Feet..."

Glasses whispered, his voice trembling slightly with fear, but mostly excitement.

"She's a lunatic."

"I heard she has a severe Dual Personality."

"One second, she's a suffocatingly gentle 'Mommy' who wants to sculpt you into a perfect art piece."

"The next second, she's a violent 'Executioner' who snaps your spine if your posture is one degree off."

"That kind of psycho..."

"Can't be seduced by 'true love' or 'pity'."

"Chen Shi's tricks won't work on a muscle maniac!"

Fatty chuckled darkly.

"Exactly."

"Lady Eight Feet hates weak men the most."

"She calls them 'waste material'."

"She will definitely focus on Chen Shi."

"And when she does..."

"We just need to tamper with his equipment."

"Or trip him when he's lifting."

"Make him break a rule."

"Just one slip..."

"And she will tear him into pieces."

The two grew more excited as they plotted.

Imagining Chen Shi's head being crushed by the 2.5-meter giantess.

"Let's do it."

Glasses said coldly.

"The 50 million bounty."

"And the S-rank item."

"They are ours."

"The face of the ghosts?"

"Hmph."

"In front of Lady Eight Feet, even Annie has to step back."

"Chen Shi?"

"He's dead meat."

At this moment.

The foreign live stream exploded.

Like a pack of sharks smelling fresh blood.

The comments rolled in, thick and fast.

[Finally! The real pros are making a move!]

[Who are those two? They look dangerous.]

[You newbies don't know them?!]

[That skinny one is "Viper"! The strategist of The Syndicate!]

[And the fat one is "Heavy Tank"!]

[Are they strong?]

[Strong?! Scarface Jack was just a street thug compared to them!]

[Jack was an unranked disposable pawn. These two are Bronze-Rank Executives!]

[Viper cleared the Silent Hospital Nightmare Mode with a B rating!]

[He sacrificed his entire team to trap the Boss... a true ruthless genius!]

[And Heavy Tank? He once survived from the rule of a B-rank ghost!]

[Not by using those shameful technique like licking!]

[They are the great hunters of The Syndicate!]

[Dragon Country is laughing too early.]

[Chen Shi thinks he's safe because he kissed a nun?]

[Hah!]

[Against Viper's schemes and Tank's brute force...]

[He won't even know how he died!]

[Scarface Jack was just a tutorial mob.]

[Say goodbye to your hero, Dragon Country.]

[The 50 million bounty already has their names on it!]

[This is the difference between a lucky amateur and a seasoned killer!]

....

Amy hugged her ragged doll.

"Brother Chen."

"This is Mr. Bear."

"He can grow up."

She whispered a command.

Poof.

The palm-sized doll suddenly expanded.

Inflating like a balloon.

Until it stood as tall as a man.

Its button eyes gleamed with a strange light.

It moved its joints.

Creak. Creak.

"He listens to me," Amy said proudly.

"But..."

She lowered her head.

"He's not very strong against ghosts."

"He can't hurt them."

"His strength is only about the same as... a soldier uncle."

"Just physical attacks."

Chen Shi touched the doll's fabric.

It was tough.

Durable.

"Special Forces level?"

Chen Shi nodded.

Satisfied.

"That's plenty."

"In a game of rules and deception..."

"An extra pair of hands is worth more than raw power."

Suddenly.

Chen Shi had an idea.

"Amy."

"Can you adjust his size precisely?"

"Make him... 188cm."

"Same shoulder width as me."

Amy nodded.

"Easy!"

The doll shifted.

Shrinking slightly.

Morphing its proportions.

Until it was a perfect mannequin of Chen Shi's build.

Chen Shi took off his jacket, draped it over the doll.

Then he grabbed a spare baseball cap from the table.

And pulled it low over the doll's button eyes.

He stepped back.

Squinting.

"Damn."

"From the back..."

"It looks exactly like me."

Elena watched this.

Her eyes lit up.

Realizing his plan.

Then she smirked:

"Why don't you mold it into Annie?"

"Put a nun's habit on it."

"Have Amy add a... specific hole?"

"It's perfectly safe."

"No risk of getting eaten."

"You can solve your 'physiological needs' anytime, anywhere."

Chen Shi's face turned black.

"You're corrupting the child!"

"Shut up!"

Amy blinked.

"But I am 20."

...

One and a half hours later.

The trio stood before a massive iron gate.

[Location: Lady Eight Feet's Private Villa]

Around them, other Chosen were trickling in.

Faces pale.

Steps heavy.

Like livestock entering a slaughterhouse.

Chen Shi looked up.

And up.

And up.

"Damn."

"This house..."

The villa wasn't just big.

It was wrong.

Everything was vertically stretched.

The doors were four meters high.

The windows were narrow slits placed impossibly high on the white walls.

The architecture was elegant, almost colonial.

But the proportions were distorted.

Designed for a resident who found normal ceilings claustrophobic.

It felt less like a home.

And more like a birdcage built for a titan.

"Let's go."

Chen Shi adjusted his collar.

Trying to ignore the instinctive dread caused by the sheer scale of the building.

They walked through the open gates.

Instead of a scary maze.

A soft, blue light appeared on the floor.

Pulsing gently.

"Please follow the light," a sweet, recorded voice whispered from the walls.

"Lady Eight Feet hates tardiness."

"But she loves enthusiastic guests."

Chen Shi frowned.

Polite.

Too polite.

They followed the blue trail through a long hallway.

Passing portraits of a woman in a white hat.

Her face hidden in shadow.

Only her red lips visible.

Smiling.

Finally.

The blue light stopped at a set of double doors.

[The Gym]

Chen Shi pushed them open.

Whoosh.

A blast of cold air mixed with the scent of expensive perfume and... iron hit them.

The Gym was a cavern.

The ceiling soared ten meters high.

The floor was polished obsidian.

But the most terrifying thing was the equipment.

Dumbbells the size of truck tires.

Treadmills as wide as city lanes.

Bench presses that looked like torture racks for giants.

Everything was scaled up.

Making the human players look like dolls in a giant's playhouse.

"Welcome."

The blue light formed an arrow.

Pointing to the center.

The Dragon Country stream gasped in collective awe.

[Holy shit! Is this a gym or a hangar?]

[My legs are trembling already!]

[Look at those dumbbells! Are they for elephants?]

[If that drops on you, you don't need a doctor, you need a spatula to scrape you off the floor!]

[But... it's kind of beautiful?]

[Yeah, the aesthetic is top-tier. Elegant white, polished obsidian.]

[Rich mommy! This villa is worth billions!]

[I feel so small... like a bug waiting to be crushed.]

Chen Shi narrowed his eyes.

Scanning the pristine, luxurious space.

Gentle guidance.

Sweet voice.

Elegant decor.

He recalled the photo he had seen before.

A motherly and mature women.

Wearing a white dress and a sun hat.

"She looks like a gentle big sister."

"Or a strict but caring matriarch."

Chen Shi muttered to himself.

His hand instinctively touching the bone amulet in his pocket.

"But in this world..."

"The gentler the surface..."

"The deeper the abyss underneath."

Ghosts don't have customer service.

Unless the customer is the product.

He gritted his teeth.

Damn it.

I tried to contact Annie earlier, but couldn't find her,

so there are no information about lady eight feet at all.

I don't know her taboos.

I don't know her triggers.

I have to profile her personality from scratch.

And if I misread her first sentence...

I might get fucked before I can use my tongue.
