Chapter 6 - The Underwear Trap

"Your name is too hard for me to say. What if I call you... Eugene?" he suggested, trying to simplify things.

She nodded happily, clearly loving the new name. They continued eating together, enjoying the meal and the warmth of the fire.

After they were both full, Eugene started to feel sleepy. Myrul urged her to go to bed, but she refused, insisting that it was her turn to take care of him.

Curious, he asked, "Why do the women here always watch over the men while they sleep?"

Eugene explained, "Because it is a sign that they are married. If a woman is single, she sleeps alone until she finds a partner."

"Oh, I see. Sorry for intruding on your space. I feel bad for taking over your hut," he feeling a bit guilty.

Eugene shook her head. "No, this is your house now. We are already married. When I stuffed my underwear in your mouth, it meant I accepted you as my husband."

"Wait... what?! How the hell did I become your husband just because I tasted your underwear?! That is the weirdest ritual I have ever heard of!"

"Are you serious?!" he asked, still trying to process what she had just said.

"Yes," Eugene replied calmly. "Women here need to find a husband by the time they turn 18. That is the rule in this jungle. Sometimes, we have to travel far to find a man and bring him back."

The mind of Myrul raced, and he suddenly remembered Fyr. "Damn... is he also someone's husband here?!"

He fell into deep thought, realizing this was the first time he had been "married" without even knowing it. "Maybe it is because this is the jungle, and there are no laws or religions here. They just follow their ancestral traditions," he reasoned.

"What is done is done. I have to respect it. Even if she is not the woman I love, she is still a person. I will respect her until her heart opens up to me," he decided, trying to make the best of the situation.

"Do you not have someone you love? Why did you choose me?"

She replied, "There are not many men left here. Most are already married. I chose you because you looked like the weakest one here."

"Damn, that is how they see me?!" he thought, feeling a sting to his pride. But as a man, he knew he had to maintain his composure.

"Huh, you think I am weak, huh? Let us have a fight then. Do not worry, I will not use my full strength. What do you say, are you brave enough?" he challenged, trying to prove himself.

Eugene burst out laughing. "Hahahahaha! This is the first time a man has challenged me to a fight. Let us go!"

The two of them stood in the middle of the hut, surrounded by curious onlookers who had woken up to witness the commotion. Someone stepped forward to act as the referee it was Fyr, who was still awake.

Fyr whispered to Myrul, "I respect you as a man, but you have chosen the wrong enemy, brother."

Fyr then stood between them, holding the hands of both fighters.

"Ladies and gentlemen, tonight we witness a battle between Myrul and Eugene! Let us give them a round of applause!" Fyr announced dramatically.

The crowd erupted in cheers and clapping, eagerly anticipating the fight.

"Are you two ready?" Fyr asked, looking at both fighters.

They both nodded.

"Fight start!!" Fyr shouted, stepping back to give them space.

He immediately took a karate stance, shifting his weight between his front and back legs, signaling that he was ready to strike first.

Eugene, on the other hand, stood confidently with her arms crossed. "Just come at me," she said, clearly underestimating him.

Triggered by her words, he charged forward, launching a flying kick aimed straight at her face. "Haha, take this!" he shouted mid air.

But to his shock, Eugene casually caught his foot with one hand, stopping him in his tracks. She then spun him around like a toy before hurling him across the clearing.

"Hah, fuck this..." Myrul groaned, feeling nauseous as he landed hard on the ground.

"You have the courage to challenge me, so I respect that," Eugene said, smirking.

The crowd, who had expected Eugene to win easily, was already preparing to celebrate her victory. Fyr was about to announce the winner when a voice interrupted.

"Wait... who said I lost? I can still fight!" He struggled to his feet, wincing in pain. "Damn, that girl is really strong. I need to distract her," he trying to come up with a plan.

"Hey, Eugene! Do you think you can beat me that easily? Come on, big boobs! Are you scared to attack me, kid?" he taunted, trying to provoke her.

The crowd gasped in horror, urging him to stop. The expression of Eugene darkened, and an angry look seemed to appear on her face. "This is the first time a man has provoked me like this," she cracking her knuckles.

In a flash, she disappeared from sight and reappeared right in front of Myrul. "This will be a good sleep, my husband," she aiming a punch straight at his stomach.

Just as everyone thought it was over, they noticed both fighters were still standing. "Why are they just standing there?" someone whispered.

Unbeknownst to the crowd, He had secretly blocked her punch with a flat stone he had hidden under his shirt. The fist of Eugene hit the stone, turning red and slightly bruised.

Seizing the opportunity, Myrul spun around and launched another kick, this time landing it squarely on the face of Eugene. The crowd erupted in shock no one had ever landed a hit on her before.

"Hahahahaha! How does that feel?!" he laughed loudly. But then he realized something was wrong. "Why can I not move my leg?"

Eugene had caught his leg with her neck and face, locking it in place. "Have a good sleep, my husband," she said with a sweet smile before delivering another punch to his stomach.

"Ahhh fuckkk!" Myrul groaned as his vision blurred, and he finally passed out.

Myrul definitely has guts, but it looks like he is going to wake up with a very sore stomach!
