"Achoo!"
The beauty in the gorgeous purple dress shivered, her high heels sinking into the snow with every step.
Wearing high heels in the snow made it seem like this beauty's head was not working very well.
Miss Irene, whose real name was Rosemary Rita, walked, her body shivering.
Her posture remained half-hunched, teeth chattering and ash-blonde hair seemingly trembling, making her look completely frozen.
Otto looked at Irene, whose cold tolerance seemed to have reached a critical point, and sighed.
They were currently at the edge of the Land of Extreme Frost, having taken three days to arrive because Irene had procured a sled and caught a few wolves. In Irene's hands, the wolves acted like absolute sycophants.
During these past few days, he and Irene had not stepped off the sled, even sleeping on it. The sled was big enough for the two of them to lie on opposite sides without any problem.
Through their contact over the past few days, Otto felt he had become a bit more familiar with Irene, at least understanding what kind of person she was.
She was a somewhat disappointing beauty.
She always wanted to show Otto her capabilities, but she would mess up for all sorts of bizarre reasons. You could say there was no situation Sister Rita couldn't mess up.
Yet this was not due to poor skills. Her abilities were genuinely excellent, but accidents always happened, as if the Will of the Universe was toying with her.
However, after every mess-up, Irene still maintained an elegant posture in front of Otto, acting as if nothing had happened, making Otto unable to hold back his amusement.
But Otto was no demon. He always pretended not to see Irene's embarrassing moments, making Irene feel that Otto was very sensible.
So what happened to the so-called mere Land of Extreme Frost?
After entering the Land of Extreme Frost, Otto did not feel much, still wearing a white shirt and black trousers. Irene, however, looked as if her cold meter was reaching a critical point, looking like she might face a game over at any moment.
He watched Irene laboriously lift her leg, pulling her foot out of the deep snow, and then stepping forward.
"Are you cold?"
Otto stopped in his tracks, asking out loud.
Seeing Otto stop in his tracks, Irene halted as well, her body still trembling. She did not want to stop at all. A motionless body would become even colder!
"N-no, I'm not cold!"
Seeing Otto acting like nothing was wrong, how could Irene show any weakness? Even so, the girl truly felt like she was going to freeze to death right here.
"Take your shoes off," Otto said. Seeing the girl freezing beside him made him feel a bit uncomfortable.
"N-no," Irene answered with difficulty. Nobody was taking a single piece of fabric off her body right now!
"It will warm you up," Otto could only say. Irene looked at Otto's emerald eyes, finding his gaze to be completely pure and devoid of any impurities.
Biting her lip, Irene chose to bend down. She lifted her legs and carefully took off her high heels, her tears almost falling as she looked at her toes that were frozen completely devoid of color.
Why did she say she wanted to come to the Land of Extreme Frost? Going to the Ancient City of Thunder where the Herrscher of Thunder was located would have been perfectly fine. She was not afraid of lightning!
There was no reason for a Quantum Lightning Support to be afraid of lightning!
Unfortunately, there was no cure for regret. Now that they had arrived here, going back was simply impossible.
Holding her high heels, her feet sinking into the snow, the freezing cold made Irene's cheeks twitch. But Otto squatted down in front of her. Irene realized he had taken off his shirt.
Carefully lifting Irene's feet, Otto did not take the time to admire them. He wrapped his own clothes around her feet as if they were a precious work of art.
Sitting on the icy snow, Irene looked at Otto's bare back. He had used his own clothes to wrap her feet. The effect seemed mediocre, but a warm current still flowed through her chest.
Then a wash of night colors rippled across his skin. A new white shirt appeared on Otto's body.
Rosemary Rita: ???
The clothes around her feet suddenly felt far less warm.
A chill seeped into her backside as well. Sitting in the snow like this for much longer would freeze her bottom completely solid.
But how was she supposed to walk with her feet wrapped up? Irene stared with gleaming eyes at Otto squatting in front of her.
Looking at the high heels dangling from her hand, Otto spoke. "Sister Irene, you hold onto the shoes for now."
Seeing Otto not offering to carry her on his back, Irene gritted her teeth in irritation. She did not absolutely need someone to carry her, but with both feet bundled together, a person had to consider how she was supposed to walk.
Could this Little Brother Alpha be an idiot?
Irene suddenly noticed a strange look on Otto's face, as if he wanted to say something but felt hesitant.
"What is it, Little Brother Alpha?"
Spending a few days together made the two of them very practiced at calling each other "Sister Irene" and "Little Brother Alpha."
"Sister Irene, I have a method to make you not feel cold."
Otto had thought of a method, but that method required Sister Irene's cooperation.
"What method? Hurry up and give it to me." She did not stand on ceremony at all, because if she kept freezing like this, she would freeze to death before even seeing the Herrscher of Ice.
At this time, maintaining elegance mattered, but her life was also quite important.
Seeing Irene urging him to hurry, Otto picked her up in his arms, feeling a bit anxious.
Irene's body was very light but extremely icy. Wearing a face full of confusion, she looked at Otto's face in front of her, not knowing why he had picked her up.
The fullness of her chest pressed against Otto's chest.
Was he trying to take advantage of her?
"Big Sister Irene, wrap your legs around my waist."
Rosemary Rita: ???
Case closed, Little Brother Alpha really coveted her body.
Irene originally wanted to make a joke and get down from Otto, but her gaze met his. Seeing his serious eyes made it look like
Like this, Otto looked like a round ball wrapping a beautiful woman inside.
He still walked forward steadily.
"Mama kangaroo?"
Irene inexplicably thought she and Otto resembled a kangaroo, with herself as the joey hiding in the mother's pouch to escape the wind and rain.
Experiencing this feeling for the first time made her face burn, but thankfully no one was around to see.
It was truly warm, though.
Having felt the extreme freezing cold, Irene felt she would melt against Otto's body.
But it was still lacking a little bit.
Lowering her head, she pressed her forehead under Otto's chin, resting her face against his chest.
This way, it was even warmer.
A wriggling monstrosity walked through the snow.
The pitch-black round ball only left Otto's head exposed, his chest and abdomen bulging prominently under the wrapping tentacles because Irene was tucked inside.
Fortunately, Otto used tentacles to wrap her. Otherwise, anyone seeing a man with a girl stuffed inside his overcoat would call the police.
Curled up like a fetus, Irene remained wrapped against Otto's front, blocking out all the cold.
Both hands hugged Otto's neck while her long, flexible legs clamped around his waist in a very intimate posture.
As they moved, Irene's body bounced up and down in Otto's arms, but Otto had no energy left to enjoy this pleasure.
He had to focus his mind intently on every single step.
However, Otto was not walking on his feet. Eight tentacles had grown around this black sphere. The tentacles pierced into the snow, moving slowly across the ground.
It looked like a spider. If anyone saw this, they might think they had crossed into some bizarre world.
This place could no longer be considered a snowfield. The only places to step were blocks of ice. Every step required the dark tentacles to pierce into the ice, securing their position before taking the next step.
Even Otto felt a little tired after a while.
He was not a perpetual motion pile driver, after all. Although he wasn't walking on his feet right now, he needed to concentrate intensely every time the tentacles pierced the ice.
A reckless insertion would cause the sensitive ice to shatter, so he had to proceed gradually. A proper insertion method was the only way to guarantee Otto and Irene's safety.
But Otto was getting closer and closer to the location of the Herrscher of Ice. Even he could feel the cold, but he had to keep his spirits up at a time like this.
The unstable ice and the potential abyss beneath it made Otto walk with extra caution.
His heart pounded, every step becoming a dance on the edge of the abyss.
Letting go of Otto's neck, Irene sensed his exhaustion and avoided putting any pressure on him.
That posture also felt like asking for a kiss during an intimate moment.
Choosing to slip her hands under Otto's armpits to hug his back, combined with her legs clamping around his waist, she entangled him like an octopus.
The posture was ungraceful but very warm. Mother kangaroo Otto's pouch served as Irene's warm little home.
Pitch blackness filled the space, the tentacles blocking out all light, while Irene pressed her ear against Otto's chest to listen to his heartbeat.
Based solely on appearances, Little Brother Alpha was extremely good-looking.
Irene's first impression of Otto framed him as a frail, pampered noble.
His age seemed younger than hers. Being someone who favored younger guys, Irene possessed zero resistance against cute kids.
A shy and handsome boy like Little Brother Alpha fell perfectly into her strike zone.
The tentacles stopped moving. Looking down, Otto slightly loosened the tentacles wrapping Irene.
Cold air seeped through the gap. Shivering, Irene hugged Otto tighter, the softness of her chest squeezing out of shape.
"Sister Irene, is this the way to Anna's place?"
The snowy scenery simply repeated itself in this world of ice and snow, Otto worrying that he had taken the wrong path.
"Close it quickly, close it quickly, I am freezing to death!"
He felt Irene twisting in his arms, seemingly acting coy, but Otto obediently blocked the gap in the tentacles anyway.
Because of the tentacles blocking the way, Irene's voice then became very quiet.
"That is right, going straight is right, just go to the coldest place."
Irene spoke with a shivering body, uncomfortably frozen from just the wisp of cold wind that slipped in earlier. Leaving the protection of the tentacles might cause her coldness level to instantly peak.
How was she supposed to fight like this!
Freezing unbearably before even seeing the main target, Irene had her strength restricted far too much due to the weather conditions.
In this freezing weather, she could only burst for ten seconds at most. But as long as Little Brother Alpha delivered her in front of the Herrscher of Ice, her ten-second burst should be enough to instantly kill the Herrscher of Ice.
She still had to rely on him. Just how many more times would he have to help her?
Otto resumed his movement. He stopped his actions after walking for just a moment.
He looked forward with a heavy expression, feeling a biting chill even sharper than before rush against his face. Tentacles hastily moved to block his front, helping him resist the oncoming cold air and shattered ice.
Cracks appeared in the surrounding ice blocks, with some places even beginning to collapse. Otto hastily changed his footing to avoid falling into a fissure.
Otto felt the surrounding temperature begin a slow rise following this final burst of cold air, despite the lingering extreme chill.
What just happened?
Irene's confused words drifted up from his embrace right then.
"What happened?"
"Did the Herrscher of Ice die?"
