Chapter 8 - Chapter 8-The witch's Choice

The dawn broke over Elarion Kingdom like a gentle promise, painting the sky with streaks of gold and rose. Birds sang songs that seemed almost human, echoing through the towering spires of the castle. Today was the day, the day the witch had promised herself she would reveal her heart.

Lyra stood at the edge of the enchanted forest, her robes fluttering like whispers in the wind. She had spent countless nights watching Prince Kael from afar, learning his ways, feeling the warmth of his laughter in her chest. But now, distance could no longer protect her heart.

Kael appeared at the forest clearing, his usual confident smile softened by something new—an unspoken hope. "Lyra," he said, voice trembling just enough to betray him, "I've searched for the truth behind the magic… and I think I found it in you."

Lyra's heart pounded. She took a step forward, the tension between fear and desire coiling in her chest. "Kael… I was afraid," she confessed. "Afraid that my powers, my choices… would push you away."

Kael reached for her hand. "Magic doesn't scare me. You… you scare me with how much I care for you."

For a moment, the world seemed to pause. The wind stilled, the forest hushed, and even the sunlight lingered, as if waiting for her answer. Lyra's eyes shimmered with tears and determination. She closed the space between them, letting her magic swirl gently around them, a shimmering halo of trust and courage.

"I choose you, Kael," she whispered, her voice steady. "Not because of prophecy or power… but because my heart has always known."

Kael smiled, his hand squeezing hers. "And I choose you, Lyra. Every day, every moment."

The forest erupted into life around them, blossoms unfurling, leaves dancing in celebration. Magic and love intertwined, creating a bond stronger than any spell. They didn't need words anymore; their hearts had spoken loud enough for all of Elarion Kingdom to feel.

And so, the witch who had once feared her own choices embraced love fully, not as a duty or a destiny, but as a choice made with courage. In that moment, she realized that even in a world of magic, the strongest power of all was the courage to love—and to be loved in return.

The sun rose higher, casting light on a future they would walk together, side by side, hearts bound by trust, magic, and a love that could withstand anything.

The story had found its ending, but their journey—real and unbroken—was only just beginning.
