The room felt heavy.
Lana and Null sat across from Leo.
Leo remained on the bed, leaning slightly forward.
Lana's gaze was fixed on him.
"…Now tell me," she said.
Leo hesitated.
Then glanced at Null.
"…Should I tell her everything?"
Null lowered his head.
"…I don't know."
Silence.
Leo exhaled slowly.
"…I don't know everything," he began, "but I'll tell you what I saw."
Lana didn't move.
"I came to this world… and your brother was the first person I met," Leo said.
Null's hands tightened slightly.
"We talked a little," Leo continued, "then he took me to his house."
His voice grew quieter.
"…Everything was already destroyed."
Lana's fingers trembled.
"There was no one alive."
Silence deepened.
"…And when he saw your mother…"
Leo paused.
Null's head dropped further.
"…he couldn't hold back."
Lana's breathing became uneven.
Leo continued carefully.
"All the magic in the kingdom… disappeared."
Lana's eyes widened.
"And then," Leo said, "he walked toward the castle."
"No one stopped him."
"Not a single knight."
"…It was like they all knew."
"If they tried…"
"They would die."
Lana clenched her fists.
Leo's voice remained steady.
"He entered the castle."
"And then…"
"…he beat the king to death."
The room went completely silent.
"…Again and again."
Until nothing was left.
Leo swallowed.
"After that… he fainted."
"I carried him back… to the same tree where we first met."
He looked at Null.
"And from that day…"
"…we became friends."
Silence.
Heavy.
Unmoving.
Leo looked at them.
Lana's eyes—
Filled with tears.
Null's eyes—
The same.
Leo looked away slightly.
I think… I touched something I shouldn't have, he thought.
He slowly stood up.
"…I'll give you two some time."
No one stopped him.
As he left the room—
Lana broke.
Her crying echoed behind him.
Leo closed the door quietly.
"…Good decision," he muttered.
The sky was painted in orange and gold.
Evening had settled over the kingdom.
Leo walked without direction.
No goal.
No plan.
Just thoughts.
Too many thoughts.
Eventually—
He sat on a public bench in a quiet park.
"…What should I even do now?"
He leaned back slightly.
Silence surrounded him.
Then—
A voice.
"…Are you Leo?"
Leo froze.
He instantly moved away and turned his head.
A girl sat beside him.
"…What?"
He frowned.
"Who are you? And when did you get here?"
The girl smiled slightly.
"…That's rude."
"I was already here."
"You're the one who came close to me."
Leo blinked.
"…Oh."
He scratched his head awkwardly.
"Sorry."
He tried to stand—
But suddenly—
She grabbed his hand.
"Don't go."
Leo froze.
"I didn't mean to offend you," she said softly. "Sit. Talk with me."
Leo hesitated.
"…But—"
"Don't worry," she said, pulling him back down gently.
"…Okay."
They sat side by side.
For a moment—
Silence.
Then she spoke again.
"Oh, sorry. Did you have something important to do?"
Leo shook his head.
"…No."
"Then why are you hesitating?" she asked.
"…Because we're strangers," Leo replied. "We don't know each other."
She smiled.
"That's not a problem."
She placed her hand on her chest lightly.
"My name is Iris."
She looked at him.
"What about you?"
"…Leo."
Her smile widened.
"Perfect. Now we know each other."
Leo sighed slightly.
"…I guess."
"But why did you want to talk to me?" he asked.
"Nothing special," Iris said casually. "I was bored."
She looked at him.
"And you looked interesting."
Leo raised an eyebrow.
"…What if I'm a bad person?"
Her expression changed instantly.
Serious.
"No," she said firmly.
Leo blinked.
"…That fast?"
Then she smiled again.
"If you were a bad person, you wouldn't have tried to leave."
Leo looked away slightly.
"…Fair point."
She leaned back.
"When you sat down earlier… you looked troubled."
"Is everything okay?"
Leo paused.
Then shrugged.
"…Don't worry about it."
He looked at her.
"You look like you're waiting for someone?"
"Yes."
"Who? Your boyfriend?"
Iris tilted her head.
"…Are you jealous?"
Leo immediately shook his head.
"No!"
She laughed softly.
"I'm just teasing."
"I don't have a boyfriend."
Leo relaxed slightly.
"…Then who?"
"My younger twin brother."
Leo blinked.
"…Twin?"
"Yeah."
She looked at him carefully.
"…Are you interested?"
"In what?"
Before he could think further—
A hand landed on his shoulder.
Leo turned—
BAM!
A punch hit his face.
"Stay away from her!"
Leo fell from the bench.
"…What the—?!"
He quickly stood up.
"Who are you?!"
Iris stood up immediately.
"Calm down, Blue!"
She stepped between them.
"He didn't do anything!"
She turned to Leo.
"Sorry. This is my brother… Blue."
Blue glared at Leo.
"Sis, tell me—where did he touch you?"
"I'll show him the consequences."
Iris sighed.
"Relax. He's a nice guy."
Leo raised his hands slightly.
"…Yeah, I think I should go."
Iris grabbed Blue's arm.
"Let's go."
She glanced back at Leo briefly.
"…See you."
Then they left the park.
Leo stood there silently.
Watching them disappear.
"…I think…"
He frowned slightly.
"…I misheard something."
The evening breeze passed quietly.
And for the first time—
Leo felt like something new had just begun
