Chapter 88 - Chapter 88: A Corner of Childhood

While Ray was handling business, his sister continued training diligently under the guidance of the girls who were like older sisters to her. However, her diligent training lasted only three days. On the third day, Yuno took the girls out for a walk.

Noticing her hesitation, Yuno smiled tenderly:

"I know what you're thinking. I have great respect for your brother. He has become everything to me. But sometimes he forgets that you are just a child. If there are problems, I'll take it all on myself. So, little auntie, don't worry — have fun from the bottom of your heart. Besides, girls should have their own secrets."

Deya truly had a wonderful time with the girls. But when her brother returned, she could barely suppress the urge to tell him the truth. Ray never raised his voice at her, let alone raised a hand. But one silent look from him was enough for her to feel guilt for her actions.

Today, Yuno had asked permission for them to spend time together, so now the young woman was basking in the embrace of the man who was her whole world.

Stroking her head, he asked:

"I hope you had a good time?"

"Yes, it really was fun. But why not just give her a day off?" Yuno asked curiously.

"Discipline is very important. Right now, she doesn't see a problem with it, but when it comes time to go to school, she'll understand that this lifestyle isn't the norm. I've robbed her of a normal childhood. But I want her to remain a child for as long as possible. So you will be the one who preserves a corner of her childhood."

Ray didn't say it aloud, but Yuno understood. She knew he was doing this not only so Deya could remain a child, but also for the sake of their relationship. Yuno had been created for one purpose — to care for this girl, who was Ray's last reminder of his mother. If something happened to him, it would be she who had to take everything upon herself.

And even realizing that he saw her as a tool, the girl felt no revulsion. She was ready for anything. For the little one, there was nothing repulsive about it, because this man was her world.
