Chapter 5 - chapter 5

PART 3

A few hours passed, and the classroom remained unusually quiet.

Everyone sat in silence, filled with fear and anxiety. No one dared to speak. The lecture had already gone on for hours, and although everyone was exhausted, it didn't seem like the lecturer would stop anytime soon.

From behind, Xavier kept making small signs, trying to get Daisy's attention.

Not the best timing.

Daisy slowly turned around with an annoyed expression on her face—one that clearly said, Xavier, this is not the time for your nonsense.

Still, she forced a small smile and whispered softly,

"What is the problem?"

Her lips moved, but her voice was barely audible in the silent classroom.

The atmosphere felt heavy. No one moved. Even the smallest sound could be noticed.

Perhaps the lecturer also sensed the tension and exhaustion in the room. After a moment, he closed his notebook and said,

"That will be all for today."

Immediately, the class was dismissed.

Before anyone else could move, Xavier rushed toward Daisy's seat and sat beside her.

He looked unbelievably happy.

His excitement was almost impossible to hide. His legs shook slightly, his eyes were filled with affection, and the smile on his face made it look like he had just won a major prize.

To him, sitting beside Daisy felt like winning a trophy.

Daisy noticed his expression and sighed softly.

"Xavier, can you give me the remaining small chops and the money from the ones you sold?"

Xavier seemed distracted by her presence, but he quickly handed her the money.

Then he bought the last two pieces of small chops himself.

Daisy stood up, preparing to leave.

Suddenly, Xavier gently grabbed her hand.

"Sit down for a minute," he said. "At least as a thank-you for helping you sell your chops earlier."

Daisy thought about it for a moment before sitting back down.

Then she looked at him seriously.

"Xavier… what exactly do you want from me?" she asked.

There was a pause.

"My body?"

Xavier's expression changed instantly.

The moment she mentioned her body, irritation flashed across his face.

Daisy noticed.

"Why that expression?" she asked. "Give me an answer."

Xavier remained silent for a moment before speaking.

"What made you think that's what I want from you?"

His voice slowly grew louder.

His face was burning with anger now.

He suddenly stood up.

"If loving you is a crime, then I'm sorry!" he shouted, pointing toward Daisy. "But you trying to make me look like a flirt or some kind of deceiver—I won't accept that!"

The classroom became silent again.
