Chapter 101 - Chapter 101

"And on top of that, there's 5G connectivity, which lets people download an entire movie several gigabytes in size in an instant and save it for later viewing. It's absolutely the kind of invention that changes how people think."

"And then there's the 3D projection technology that can now be seen in major cities. Honestly, when I was remodeling my place a while back, I used it to simulate different furniture layouts for days before finally deciding. The final result turned out better than I could've imagined."

"All in all, every product launch from AIM can practically be called a technological summit for the advancement of human civilization."

"And now, with AIM holding its third product launch here today, I believe everyone is just like me, eagerly waiting to find out exactly what they're going to unveil this time."

At that moment, a reporter from The New York Times stood in front of the camera with a microphone in hand, speaking fluently and excitedly.

"Hello, everyone. I'm Eaton from The Washington Times. Behind me is the headquarters of the legendary AIM. I don't think anyone who spends time online could possibly be unfamiliar with this company. They invented the high-tech medical robot Baymax, and since then they've rolled out a whole series of related models, making life dramatically easier for countless people."

"And today, AIM is about to release another new product. You might be wondering why I just brought that up when everyone already knows it. But that's exactly the point. According to the information I've received, one of AIM's upcoming new products is a brand-new robot."

"There are even rumors that about a month ago, AIM quietly acquired two domestic high-tech specialty metal manufacturing companies and their factories. Those factories primarily produce steel for advanced equipment and robot manufacturing. That means AIM's next product could very well be an entirely new robot, something completely different from Baymax."

"And now, as the launch event is about to begin, our station will be taking all of you inside to uncover the truth behind today's announcement."

Comments like these were everywhere.

From what the audience had heard alone, speculation ranged from robots all the way up to full-blown starships.

As ridiculous as those guesses sounded, this was AIM, the company that had already created miracle after miracle. In front of a so-called "black tech" company like this, even wild predictions somehow started to feel reasonable.

As time passed, more media reporters and representatives from major corporations seeking cooperation arrived at the venue one after another.

There were even reporters from other countries broadcasting live in languages most people on-site couldn't understand.

What shocked people even more was that six pharmaceutical CEOs had shown up in person this time, though they had been escorted to a special reception hall inside AIM headquarters.

At that moment, the crowd at the venue hit another peak.

Fortunately, after handling several events like this before, the mayor of Miami had already become very experienced. He had sent police officers to the scene early to work together with the Baymax units stationed around the campus to maintain order.

Originally, Killian had said there was no need for police assistance. Baymax alone would have been enough.

But from the mayor's point of view, this was also the perfect chance to show cooperation between the city and its people.

So in the end, Killian didn't insist.

Ten minutes before the event officially began, AIM staff finally started coming downstairs in batches, quietly taking their positions in the cleared area as they waited for Vice President Lisa to arrive.

Across the entire venue, only a small number of media outlets and companies that had either been invited in previous events or voluntarily came to support AIM's publicity efforts were given seats in the front. The rest of the press had to remain standing and watch from farther back.

They might get a chance to ask questions later, but for AIM, priority would always go to the partners who had supported them from the very beginning.

Because of that, Jameson, who for the first time had managed to get a seat in the very front row, looked almost flattered. He adjusted his suit, then turned to look at his rivals, who were glaring at him with a mixture of envy and resentment. He couldn't help feeling just a little smug.

Still, he quickly ignored them and went back to organizing his interview notes, preparing the questions he intended to ask later.

Compared to showing off in front of his competitors, getting explosive firsthand news mattered a lot more.

That said, to the reporters present, this launch already felt different from the previous ones. In the first two events, AIM had at least built hype in advance, and there had even been pre-orders.

This one, however, felt more like a straightforward press conference.

If not for the large projection behind the stage clearly displaying the words AIM Product Launch, many people might have assumed exactly that.

What made this event especially unique, though, was the guest list.

Aside from Apple, companies like Microsoft, Hammer Industries, Roxxon, Oscorp, and even Stark Industries had all sent representatives to observe the event. Under normal circumstances, gathering this many heavyweight corporate players in one place would have been nearly impossible.

And now, these business giants were all seated here, their expressions tense and serious as they stared toward the stage like they were facing a major threat.

Meanwhile, with the launch about to begin, Lisa was in an office inside the company, standing with several staff members as they continued going over every detail that might come up during the event.

A few stylists were also making final adjustments to her outfit.

Although she had long since grown used to major occasions, and the scale of the last launch had been no smaller than this one, Lisa still looked serious. There was even a trace of tension in her expression.

At that moment, she finally understood why her boss never showed up in person. If she weren't only the vice president, she might have wanted to find someone else to host the event for her too.

Of course, that was impossible.

And deep down, she wouldn't have wanted her boss to replace her anyway.

Soon, time ticked by second by second. As the countdown on stage began and camera flashes lit up continuously in the hands of the reporters, Lisa finally stepped out from inside the building in a sharp white suit.

When she reached the podium, she smiled and swept her eyes across the venue.

Though she was nervous inside, she kept every trace of it locked down. Standing there, she looked like a lioness ready to command the field.

The moment Lisa stepped onto the stage, warm applause instantly broke out from below. For the beautiful vice president of AIM, almost no one present was unfamiliar.

Aside from the very first launch, where AIM had appeared in person, nearly all of the company's public-facing appearances afterward had been handled by Lisa.

Because of that, her personal background had long since been dug up and exposed online. Being an intern from a prestigious university was already impressive to most ordinary people.

But compared to the position she held, it still didn't seem like enough.

Lisa was too young. She was only in her early twenties, an age when most people hadn't even finished school yet, or at best had just graduated.

And yet someone that young had somehow become the vice president of a company whose assets and influence could already rival those of the world's top technology giants.

Naturally, that led people to speculate.

At one point, some tabloids even claimed Lisa was Killian's kept lover, and that the reason she had been placed in such an important position was because she was carrying his child. They said Killian, like Tony Stark, was a playboy who enjoyed fooling around, which was why the two of them had never gotten married.

Of course, most people treated stories like that as little more than gossip.

Because whatever Lisa's private relationship with Killian might or might not be, one thing was undeniable. At AIM's previous launch events, her presence had been overwhelming. She had kept events with tens of thousands of attendees completely under control from beginning to end without a single problem.

That alone was enough to earn people's respect.

After all, whenever tens of thousands of people gathered in one place, even a tiny incident could cause chaos.

Just look at public demonstrations. Those often led to trampling accidents, and those crowds were only a few thousand people at most.

That alone was enough to prove Lisa's ability.

This time, unlike the previous event where she had worn a formal gown, Lisa appeared before the crowd fully in the role of a female executive.

She had always been the type with a commanding presence, and with the confidence in her posture and figure, the white suit only made her look even more striking. She gave off a mix of authority and sex appeal, the kind of dazzling aura people associated with a stunning executive.

"Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen."

"Welcome to everyone who has traveled from all over the world to attend AIM's latest product launch."

"What I can promise you is this: AIM's products will not disappoint."

"But before we introduce today's products, I've noticed quite a few new faces in the crowd. I'm sure many of you still aren't very familiar with me, so let me briefly introduce myself. I'm Lisa, Vice President of AIM, responsible for the company's external affairs and sales operations. And I'm also honored to have been appointed by our chairman, Mr. Killian, to host today's event."

"So for the next two hours, I'll be your guide through AIM's third major product launch of the year."

As soon as Lisa's voice fell, the giant screen behind her lit up as well. AIM's iconic logo appeared in the form of a 3D projection.

Then, accompanied by a dramatic live orchestral performance, the crowd instinctively burst into applause.

The launch had officially begun.

"First of all, to thank everyone for coming, we've made a special effort this time to invite many stunning women from all over the world. And to better cater to everyone's interests, we've also included a variety of anime-style characters."

"They'll be here to assist all of you and help explain the products we unveil later during the event."

"Trust me, every one of them has gone through professional training with our company. In terms of technical knowledge, they may even be better informed than I am."

"And now, please welcome the representatives of our presentation team."

Then, following Lisa's introduction, one stunning beauty after another stepped out from the AIM building and appeared before the crowd for the first time.

As their real-time images were projected into the air by the venue's 3D display system, the entire crowd collectively held its breath.

A wave of overwhelming beauty crashed over the venue.

It was as if Athena, the goddess of wisdom, an angel descended from heaven, Chang'e from Eastern legend, a seductive succubus from the underworld, Sif from Norse myth, Aphrodite from Greek legend, and countless other divine figures had stepped straight into reality.

Any one of them standing alone would have been unforgettable.

And now they were appearing all at once, in groups.

"My God, I think I just saw a real angel!"

"Damn, if even one of those women were my girlfriend, I'd willingly give up fifty years of my life. Just leave me one year with her and I'd die happy."

"This is insane. This is really insane. I completely believe AIM's sincerity now. Just getting women like this together would cost a fortune. Honestly, even the biggest modeling agencies in the world probably couldn't pull this off without spending tens of billions. No, hundreds of billions. Any one of them could stand beside an international superstar without losing a thing."

"I'm a director! Seriously, if I'd discovered women like this earlier, even just one of them, my box office would've hit the roof."

"I believe it. At this level, even if their acting were terrible, that face alone would carry the movie."

"Wait, didn't you hear what AIM's beautiful vice president just said? These women are going to be guiding guests through the products unveiled later! Why the hell didn't I come?! Can someone invent a time machine for me? I could've gone, but I figured it would just be another phone giveaway like last time. Since the online raffle was open too, I skipped it. And now… AIM, you've ruined me!"

"Ahhh! I'm losing my mind! If I'd known, I would've chartered a flight to get here. I've searched all over the world and still barely seen anyone on this level."

At that moment, it wasn't just the people at the venue who were buzzing.

The tens of millions of viewers online were also pouring out their feelings nonstop in the live comments.

After all, beauty was always a topic people never got tired of.

And beyond beauty was something even more irresistible, something people could only call goddesses.

Especially in a moment like this, when myth seemed to be stepping into reality, both men and women were completely losing their minds over the divine figures appearing on the live broadcast.

It was like someone telling you that a company's product launch was about to feature legendary beauties from myth and history, all appearing on-site and interacting directly with the crowd.

Would you feel regret? Would you get excited?

Of course you would.

"Jarvis!"
