Chapter 1 - A Human World More Merciful Than a World Where I Am a Willing Traitor

Chapter 1: Betrayal Under the Blood Moon

"My love... is that you?"

Those were the last words spoken by that girl, echoing like a painful memory in the mind of one who was hard to trust. For ages, the worlds of humans and vampires were severed; they lived in the morning, and we inhabited the shadows of the night. We were hidden, watching them without being seen, unknown to them except as the embodiment of "Evil."

Every year, after the moon's transformation, a single window of opportunity opens to dominate the human world. But one vital element is missing: a fragment of the "Life Stone." This stone, which sustains human existence and balances the world, is hidden where no light or sun can reach. No human knows its location, and no vampire can reach it, for their bodies vanish into mist the moment they attempt to surface.

Amidst these obstacles, Professor Alfred sought a solution in his laboratory, deep within a cavern. It was more than a room; it was a sanctuary of forbidden science, smelling of damp earth and the rhythm of water dripping from high rocky crevices. In the dark corners, iron cages held hybrid beasts—lions and tigers with piercing red eyes, the results of his experiments merging vampire blood with animals. On his shoulder sat a black crow, his sharp-eyed, loyal companion. Despite the chaos, Alfred was meticulously organized; his books were handmade from special paper and animal hides. In those pages, he brewed a solution: a drop of human blood to create a "Hybrid" to fulfill the dream of every vampire—to colonize a new world.

During his endless trials, the heir apparent, "Leo," entered. His crimson eyes scanned the room, his raspy voice breaking the silence:

— "Have you prepared what I asked for?"

Alfred replied, trembling:

— "Yes... just a few drops will make whoever drinks it fall. They will lose the ability to speak or hear, only able to watch in silence."

Leo took the vial coldly:

— "Good. Give it to me, and forget I was ever here."

Without a word, Leo took the vial. In their world, no one dared question the Noble Family; defiance meant death. Soon, a chaotic scream erupted from the noble dining hall: "The King has fallen!" The King was carried to his chambers, a living corpse, pale and motionless, his eyes the only part of him still moving in silent terror. Leo seized the throne immediately, his father declared incapacitated.

Leo smiled a wicked smile and returned to the Professor with a harsher demand:

— "I want a poison that ends life instantly. My father, who rejected the conquest of humans, is voiceless now. Tell me, will you find a way to expand our world soon?"

— "I cannot!" Alfred cried. "I will not harm my own people!"

Leo looked at him with disdain:

— "Then think of your young daughter... perhaps she will be the one to complete your work when she grows up, if she lives that long."

Broken, Alfred surrendered what Leo desired. During the royal banquet, as "Venison cooked in bat blood" was served to the Queen, a guard cried out: "Traitor! Traitor!"

Alfred was "found" poisoning the Queen's plate—a setup orchestrated by Leo to frame the Professor and clear his own name. The Queen rushed to the cell, her eyes full of betrayal:

— "Were you the reason for what happened to my husband too?"

Before Alfred could speak, Leo's voice cut through from the shadows:

— "How can a traitor confess? They have no honor."

Leo dragged his mother away and addressed the angry mob:

— "People! This man tried to kill your Queen! Professor Alfred is no longer one of us!"

And so, the great scientist was cast out, exiled from the vampire world to be thrown into the world of humans... carrying nothing but the secrets of his research in his pocket.
