Chapter 3 – The First Battle
After leaving the Coffee House, Orion was looking up at the sky.
There was a strange calmness in his eyes.
He slowly said—
"5 years…
In just 5 years the Earth changed this much."
Then he smiled a little and said—
"Space Crack…
Monster…
Awakened Human…
Heroes of Justice…
Hmm…
This world is much more interesting than before."
Right at that moment—
BOOOOM!!!
A huge explosion shook the entire city.
People started running everywhere.
Someone was shouting—
"Monster!! A monster has appeared!!"
Someone else was saying—
"Everyone run!!"
Orion slowly looked in that direction.
A faint smile appeared on his lips.
He said in a calm voice—
"Looks like…
the first game of my new life is about to begin."
In the distance, a huge Space Crack had opened in the sky.
From that crack, a terrifying Monster was slowly coming out.
The Monster was almost 30 feet tall.
Its entire body was covered with hard black skin.
Its two red eyes were glowing like fire.
When its huge claws touched the ground—
CRASH!!
A car on the road split into two pieces.
People started running in fear.
Orion slowly began walking toward it.
There was not even a bit of fear on his face.
He thought to himself—
"Is this the Monster…
because of which the whole world has changed?"
The Monster suddenly roared—
ROOOOOAR!!!
Its roar shattered the nearby glass.
Just then, several people flew down from the sky.
They had swords, spears, and some strange weapons in their hands.
One of them shouted—
"Everyone move back!
We are from the Hunter Association!"
Orion looked at them with a little surprise.
He thought to himself—
"So they are Awakened Humans…"
One Hunter raised his sword and rushed toward the Monster.
But the Monster swung its huge arm once—
BAM!!!
The Hunter was thrown far away and crashed into a wall.
Another Hunter shouted—
"This is not a B-Rank Monster!
This is at least A-Rank!!"
The Monster roared again and stepped forward.
Fear was clearly visible on the Hunters' faces.
Orion was calmly watching everything from a distance.
There was no excitement in his eyes.
Only curiosity.
He slowly said—
"So this is the strength of the current world?"
Right then the Monster suddenly looked at Orion.
Its red eyes began to glow.
It seemed to have sensed the strange Energy inside Orion.
The Monster roared and rushed toward Orion.
The Hunters shouted—
"Hey you!
Move away from there!!"
But Orion did not move even an inch.
He just stood there calmly.
The Monster raised its huge hand to strike Orion.
At that very moment—
Orion slowly raised his hand.
Rainbow-colored light flashed in his eyes.
He said in a calm voice—
"Stop."
Suddenly the entire place froze.
The Monster's hand stopped a few inches above Orion's head.
Everyone was shocked.
The Hunters said in disbelief—
"What… what was that?"
Orion slowly looked at the Monster.
He said—
"You are making too much noise."
Then he made a small gesture with his finger.
The next moment—
BOOM!!!
The Monster's entire body exploded instantly.
Its body turned into dust and disappeared into the air.
The whole place became silent.
All the Hunters stared at Orion in shock.
One of them whispered—
"What is that…
Is he an S-Rank?"
Another said—
"No…
Even an S-Rank cannot kill an A-Rank Monster that easily…"
Orion calmly looked around.
There was no arrogance on his face.
He just said—
"Hmm…
So weak?"
Then he looked up at the sky.
At that moment another Space Crack began opening in the sky.
But this time…
Not one.
Not two.
Ten Space Cracks opened at the same time.
The Hunters were terrified.
One of them shouted—
"Impossible!
So many Gates never open at once!"
Orion slowly smiled.
A terrifying glint appeared in his eyes.
He said—
"Hmm…
Now it looks like it will be a little fun."
Just then—
A person appeared floating in the distant sky.
A massive Energy was coming out from his body.
The Hunters immediately knelt down.
They said—
"Hero of Justice…!!"
That person kept staring at Orion.
There was surprise in his eyes.
He slowly said—
"Who are you?"
Orion smiled a little and said—
"My name is…
Orion."
In the sky, terrifying Monsters were starting to come out from the ten Space Cracks.
And the world had no idea—
The person standing before them…
Friend.
Or…
The most terrifying existence.
At that moment, ten Space Cracks had opened in the sky at the same time.
From each crack, terrifying Monsters began to come out.
The people of the city were screaming in panic.
"Everyone run!!"
"Gate Break is happening!!"
Car accidents everywhere…
Buildings shaking…
People running.
Some Hunters from the Hunter Association shouted in fear—
"Impossible!
So many Gates can't open at the same time!"
Right then, a massive pressure of power descended from the sky.
WHOOM!!
A man slowly descended from the sky.
A terrifying power was coming out from his body.
The Hunters immediately lowered their heads and said—
"Hero of Justice!!"
This man was none other than—
An SSS Class Hero from the Heroes of Justice group.
He looked at the sky and said—
"Ten Space Cracks at once…
This is not a normal event."
His eyes then turned toward Orion.
He said with a little surprise—
"Who is this boy?"
Because Orion was standing completely calmly.
People were running everywhere…
Monsters were coming out…
But there was no fear on Orion's face.
He was just looking at the sky.
Just then—
From the first Space Crack, a huge Monster jumped down.
BOOOOM!!
The road broke as soon as it landed on the ground.
The Monster was almost 40 feet tall.
It had four arms…
And massive teeth.
The Hunters shouted—
"This isn't A Rank!
This is at least an S Rank Monster!!"
The Hero of Justice drew his sword.
There was fierce determination in his eyes.
He said—
"All Hunters move back.
I will handle this."
The Monster roared and moved forward.
ROOOOAR!!!
Its roar shattered the nearby windows.
The Hero of Justice jumped into the sky.
Blue light came out from his sword.
SLASH!!!
A huge Energy Slash struck the Monster's body.
But…
The Monster only stepped back a little.
The Hero of Justice said in surprise—
"What…?
So little damage from my attack?"
Just then, from another Space Crack,
three more Monsters came out.
The Hunters screamed in terror—
"Impossible!!
This is a Gate Break!"
The face of the Hero of Justice became serious.
He realized—
This battle would not be easy.
Right then—
He noticed Orion was still standing calmly.
The Hero of Justice said—
"Hey you!
Leave from here!
This is dangerous!"
Orion slowly looked at him.
A faint light glowed in his rainbow eyes.
He calmly said—
"Are you one of the Heroes of Justice?"
The Hero said—
"Yes.
I am responsible for protecting this city.
Leave this place immediately."
Orion smiled a little.
"Hmm…
So you are that SSS Class Hero."
The Hero was surprised.
Because there was no fear in Orion's voice.
Just then—
A huge Monster ran toward Orion.
The Hero shouted—
"Watch out!!"
But Orion did not move at all.
The Monster raised its huge hand to attack.
At that very moment—
Orion slowly raised his hand.
Rainbow light flashed in his eyes.
He said calmly—
"Disappear."
The next moment—
BOOOOM!!!
The Monster's entire body turned into dust instantly.
Everyone became silent.
The eyes of the Hero of Justice widened.
He thought to himself—
"What…?
He killed an S Rank Monster in one second?"
Orion looked at the sky again.
Because nine Space Cracks were still open.
And Monsters were still coming out from them.
The Hero of Justice slowly walked toward Orion.
He said—
"Who are you?
You are not from the Hunter Association."
Orion calmly said—
"I'm just a passerby."
The Hero said—
"Don't lie.
Your power is close to SSS Class."
Just then—
Another massive Energy appeared in the sky.
Several more people appeared in the sky.
The Hunters said in shock—
"More Heroes of Justice are coming!"
One…
Two…
Three…
A total of five SSS Class Heroes appeared floating in the sky.
Their eyes were on Orion.
One of them said—
"Who is this boy?"
Another said—
"I cannot feel his Energy."
Another whispered—
"But… he is terrifying."
Orion slowly smiled.
In front of him were standing
some of the strongest SSS Class Heroes in the world.
But there was not even a bit of fear in his eyes.
He just looked at the sky and said—
"Hmm…
Today seems like it's going to be quite interesting."
Right then—
The biggest Space Crack suddenly shook.
From inside it began to come out
an unbelievably huge Monster.
Its shadow covered the entire city.
The faces of the Heroes of Justice became serious.
Because they realized—
This was not a normal Monster.
And Orion…
Was just smiling.
