Characters:
THE NEW ARIAN (THE REFLECTION): Confident, cold, and a perfect artist.
SARA: Arian's wife, who feels something is deeply wrong.
TRAPPED ARIAN: The real Arian, visible only inside the mirror.
ACT 1: The Perfect Stranger
(Setting: Two weeks later. The studio is now clean and organized. The New Arian is painting a brilliant, colorful landscape. Sara enters with coffee.)
SARA: You've finished three paintings in ten days, Arian. The gallery is calling you a "reborn genius."
THE NEW ARIAN: (Without looking back, voice calm) I told you, Sara. I've found clarity. The chaos is gone.
SARA: (Setting the coffee down, hesitant) But... you don't drink sugar in your coffee anymore. And you've started painting with your left hand. You were always right-handed.
THE NEW ARIAN: (Pauses, then smiles thinly) Evolution, darling. When the mind changes, the body follows. Don't you like this version of me better? No more nightmares. No more screaming.
SARA: (Whispering) I like the peace. But I miss the man who used to look at me with... vulnerability. You look at me like I'm a sketch on a canvas.
ACT 2: The Silent Scream
(Setting: Night. The studio is dark. Sara enters the studio alone, driven by an uneasy feeling. She walks toward the large ornate mirror.)
SARA: (To herself) Why do I feel like I'm being watched?
(She looks into the mirror. In the reflection, the room is empty. But as she turns to leave, she sees a faint movement in the glass. It's the REAL ARIAN. He is pale, his clothes are torn, and he is pounding on the glass from the inside—but there is NO SOUND.)
SARA: (Gasping, touching the glass) Arian? Is that... no, it's just my mind playing tricks.
(The Trapped Arian starts writing on the glass from the inside using his own blood or dark ink. He writes backwards: "H-E-L-P M-E".)
SARA: (Screaming) Oh my God! Arian! What is happening?
(Suddenly, the lights flash on. The New Arian is standing at the doorway, watching her.)
ACT 3: The Confrontation
THE NEW ARIAN: Looking for something, Sara?
SARA: (Pointing at the mirror, trembling) He's in there! You... you are not my husband! Who are you?
THE NEW ARIAN: (Walking slowly toward her) I am everything he wanted to be. I am the success, the stability, the talent. Why would you want to bring him back? He was a broken, miserable man.
SARA: He was human! He was real!
THE NEW ARIAN: (Grabbing her hand firmly) Real is overrated. I can give you a perfect life. All you have to do is stop looking into the mirror.
(Inside the mirror, the Trapped Arian is weeping, watching the impostor hold his wife's hand. He sees a palette knife lying on the floor inside the mirror world.)
ACT 4: The Shattered Mirror
SARA: (Pulling away) I'm calling the police. I don't care if they think I'm crazy!
THE NEW ARIAN: (His face turns cold) I can't let you do that. You were supposed to be the final piece of my masterpiece.
(He moves to grab her, but Sara grabs a heavy bronze statue from the desk. She doesn't hit him—she turns and smashes the mirror with all her strength.)
SARA: NO!
(The glass shatters into a million pieces. A piercing, supernatural sound fills the room. Black smoke erupts from the shards. The New Arian screams as his skin begins to crack like glass.)
THE NEW ARIAN: If you break the bridge... we both fade!
ACT 5: The Aftermath
(Silence. The studio is a mess of broken glass. The New Arian is gone. Sara is lying on the floor, breathing hard. She looks up and sees a hand reaching out from the pile of glass.)
SARA: Arian?
(A man crawls out. He is exhausted, covered in dust, and his eyes are filled with tears. He looks at his right hand—it's trembling. He looks at Sara.)
ARIAN: (Voice raspy) Is... is the sugar in the coffee still there?
SARA: (Sobbing, hugging him) Yes. It's still there.
(They hug tightly. But as the camera pans down to a small, unbroken shard of glass on the floor, we see a tiny reflection of Sara. But in the reflection, she is smiling a dark, wicked smile... just like the impostor.)
[FADE OUT]
